Mini Deep Dish Pizzas are our new favorite dinner recipe. They’re easy, quick and can be made custom for each person with their favorite toppings!

We like to serve these as an easy dinner for our family, but they would also be great for a party appetizer. Especially served with some homemade marinara!

Perfect for Snacks or Dinner!

Are you guys always on the hunt for simple, quick dinner recipes that the entire family will love?? I AM!! We have our classic recipes that we make all the time, but I’m usually desperate to change things up and find new recipes the whole family will enjoy.

That’s easier said than done with six kids, but we recently found a new recipe to add into the rotation that was a hit with everyone. That recipe is Mini Deep Dish Pizzas. Bite sized pizza…

Do I need to say anything more? These mini deep dish pizzas were simple to put together and the perfect finger food for all! I love that you can be creative with this and change it up as you please.

Making mini deep dish pizzas using a muffin tin

Quick & Customizable

PREP. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

CUT. Unroll pizza dough onto a lightly floured cutting board. Cut into 12 (3×2-inch) rectangles.

ASSEMBLE. Grease a mini muffin pan and place 1 dough piece in each cup. Sprinkle half the shredded cheese into the cups. Top with pizza sauce, remaining shredded cheese and pepperoni, then sprinkle with Parmesan and oregano.

BAKE. Bake for 11-12 minutes or until golden brown.

Make it Your Own: This recipe is also great for the kids to help out with. They love making regular pizzas, so custom mini pizzas for each kid would be great to make!! In place of pepperonis, you can add other toppings such as:

  • Olives
  • Crumbled Sausage
  • Bell Peppers
  • Mushrooms
  • Ham
  • Pineapple
  • Chicken
  • Spinach
  • Bacon Bits

Aside from the different toppings you can choose to use red sauce or white pizza sauce. You can also change up the cheese. I do want to note that I like to grate my own cheese as it melts better than the pre shredded cheese from a bag.

Easy Freezer Meal

Since these are so easy to make, I suggest doubling the recipe and freezing some for later. After they have cooled, place them in a single layer in a Freezer Ziploc and freeze for up to 2 months.

You can REHEAT them in a 400°F oven for a few minutes. You can also use a toaster oven, or if you are in a hurry, the microwave.

I hope you guys enjoy making these as much as we did and can add these to the meal rotation. Here is the printable recipe for these delicious mini pizzas…

My six year old made these with some assistance from me. They are ridiculously good! Ruined my calorie intake for the day and it’s only 10am! He loves them and he’s picky. Fun thing to do with the kids.
