A creamy, cheesy white pizza sauce that will make you want pizza every night! This Alfredo sauce is the perfect white sauce to top your pizza with. It’s made with simple ingredients, but it’s packed with rich flavor.

Our family does a pizza night every Friday for dinner. We like to pair this white sauce with a homemade crust to make chicken alfredo pizza. Although, we do still enjoy a classic pepperoni pizza every now and then!

Change can be a good thing

I’m not great with change. I like things the way I like it. Why fix something that’s not broken, right? But things are different when it comes to food. I love trying new recipes and new foods to introduce to my family. When I saw this white sauce for pizza, I knew we had to try it.

I can smell this incredible white sauce through the screen. It’s cheesy. It’s flavorful. It’s DELISH. And it’s even better when smoothed onto a pizza crust with more cheese and pizza toppings over it.

After making this, you will quickly realize that white sauce is rich, heavy, and so so good. One bite of Alfredo pizza sauce, and you might say “see ya later” to red sauce on pizza forever. Gasp! 😉

How to Make White Garlic Pizza Sauce

You will love just how easy this garlic pizza sauce is to make!

SIMMER. Combine the heavy cream, butter, and cream cheese in a pot. Mix them all together and simmer on medium heat. Stir in your shredded parmesan cheese and garlic powder. Let this mixture simmer over low heat for 15-20 minutes.

COOL. After it’s thickened a bit, take it off the heat. Let it cool for a minute.

SPREAD. Spread it over your favorite pizza dough. (If you’re looking for an amazing pizza dough recipe you should definitely try this one – it’s our favorite!) Then add all of your favorite toppings.

What toppings are good on white garlic pizza? The toppings for a traditional red sauce pizza also pair well with this white garlic sauce. Here are some of our favorites: cooked bacon bits, mushrooms, olives, broccoli florets, purple onions, spinach, red peppers, grilled chicken, cooked sausage, cooked shrimp. Our chicken alfredo pizza uses chicken and spinach. Give it a try!

Got leftovers?

Luckily, the leftovers store pretty well, so you can use it for another pizza another day.

Fridge: place sauce in an airtight container and keep in the fridge for 4-5 days.

Freezer: Allow sauce to completely cool. Place in an airtight freezer safe container leaving about 1 inch of head space to allow for expansion. Freeze for 6-8 months.

Thaw in the fridge. You may notice a grainy or lumpy texture. Revive the sauce by slowly reheating in a skillet. Heat over low heat, stirring constantly. As the sauce warms, you can add a little fresh cream to help return it to a thick and smooth consistency.

Pizza made with white pizza sauce recipe

We love this White Pizza Sauce! You can’t really go wrong with cream, butter, and parmesan cheese. Am I right? This sauce only takes about 20 minutes from start to finish and is a great alternative to the classic red pizza sauce. Give it a try (even if you’re not great with change!) 😉

I make at least 4 pizzas 3 to 4 times a month. one time, 3x ago, i made this sauce for 3 of the 4 pizzas i made for our 17 year old, my husband and myself (my 25yr old is the picky one). every week now i hear one or both of them saying how great this sauce is. i keep forgetting the parmesan cheese because i only use block cheese now since store bought shredded ones has caking agents in them that seems to cause issues for our FAMILY’S digestion system. the only thing i did differently is used a couple dashes of garlic pepper with the garlic powder. i thought about using a food processor and grating up some peeled whole garlic and add it to the sauce instead. that would take time though and this recipe is so simple… why complicate things. thanks for this awesome recipe.

    1. Shrimp, bacon, onion, chicken and spinach! Add a touch of ranch dressing to the sauce! Then go slap a momma!👏👏👏🙌
