Yogurt Charcuterie Board

A Yogurt Parfait Board is perfect for breakfast, brunch, or dinner. It’s sure to be a hit!

Completely customizable, and absolutely delicious, fill this board with your favorite yogurt flavors, toppings, and fruit. It’s quick and easy for a light, refreshing spread.

Perfect for grazing, Charcuterie Boards are a hit with our family! This Parfait Board is especially delicious.

Choosing a board

Many Charcuterie Boards are often just a large pretty wooden cutting board, but any large board or tray will work. Match the tray/board to the theme of the event or just use what you have on hand.

You may also be able to find some unique trays and boards at your local second-hand store.

yogurt Board Tips

  • Place any bowls or cups on the board before you add the other elements.
  • Avoid placing fruits and other ingredients directly on the board that tend to weep liquid. Contain them in a small bowl or cup.
  • Most of the ingredients for a Parfait Board can be prepared a day ahead of time, except for fruits that brown or get mushy quickly like bananas.
  • Only set out enough yogurt that can be eaten within about 30 minutes. Chill the reserved yogurt in the fridge and refill the Parfait Board as needed. This also applies to other board ingredients.

What bowls to use?

Use pretty much any container to make the parfaits. I tend to use a clear container so that you can see the delicious layers, but other cups can be used as well.

Whichever type of container is used, be sure the top is wide enough to accommodate scooping out the parfait with a spoon. Here are some ideas:

  • mini mason jars or jam jars
  • clear plastic drink cups
  • clear plastic parfait cups
  • decorative tea cups
  • small bamboo bowls

Assembling the Yogurt board

BOARD. Choose the board you will use. (Use the tips above)

ASSEMBLE. Decide which ingredients need to be contained in bowls. Place the bowls on the board with space in between.

Consider the color of your ingredients and plan ahead to not have the same colors next to each other if possible.

Begin to build your board filling in around the filled bowls. Add spoons and/or utensils.

What items to put on the board

The sky is the limit when it comes to what you can put on your board, however, you are limited on what will fit on the board.

Guests will love all the different options to make their own parfaits. Some ideas include:

  • Yogurt. I suggest providing a variety of yogurt. For example, provide a bowl of plain greek yogurt with a bowl of strawberry or vanilla yogurt.
  • Nuts. Such as chopped almonds, pecans, or walnuts.
  • Fresh fruit. Our favorites include cherries, mango, pineapple, kiwi, mandarin oranges, bananas, or peaches.
  • Berries. Blackberries, blueberries, strawberries, or raspberries all go well together.
  • Dried fruit. We like coconut, craisins, or raisins.
  • Extra mix-ins. Homemade Granola, chocolate chips, Cinnamon Toast Crunch or another cereal, jam or fruit compote are all great additions to the other toppings.

On the side

I like to have some maple syrup and honey on the side of the board for people to drizzle on their parfaits.

When serving this board at a party, I also like to have other types of snacks on the side such as:

Recipe FAQ

What if I don’t have a charcuterie board?

Easy fix, use your table or countertop and some butcher paper. I always have a roll of butcher paper on hand from my kids arts and crafts collection, and when you lay out a big piece of it on your counter or table it ends up looking amazing and it makes cleanup incredibly easy!

Can I assemble the board ahead of time?

Absolutely! I would completely assemble my board and remove any items that might harden in the fridge, like raisins, and then wrap the entire thing in saran wrap and place it in the fridge until it’s ready to be enjoyed.
