Slow Cooker Asian Meatballs

Who here loves MEATBALLS?! I haven’t always loved them but was glad that changed several years ago when I actually decided to give them a try. Homemade Meatballs are the best, but there are also so many great recipes using frozen meatballs that we love just as much. Today’s Asian Meatballs happen to be one of those recipes.

We LOVE all the Asian flavors and love meatballs and were glad we finally made an Asian meatball recipe that everyone loved. Not only were the flavors great, but we loved that these were make in the slow cooker which means they are easy peasy!!

We love how great the sauce ended up tasting because it added so much flavor. These can be served on their own or would be great served with white rice, brown rice or noodles. We added toothpicks to serve, making them great for a party!

How to Make Asian Meatballs

MEATBALLS. Place meatballs in a slow cooker.

SAUCE. In a small bowl, mix hoisin sauce, vinegar, soy sauce and minced garlic. Pour over meatballs and mix until coated.

HEAT. Cook on LOW for 2 to 4 hours, stirring occasionally.

SERVED. Top with sesame seeds and green onions before serving, and ENJOY!

Tips + Storing Info

These Homemade Meatballs are a great choice for this recipe. Be sure to brown them before putting them in the slow cooker with the sauce.

STORE Asian meatballs in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week. Reheat in the microwave until warmed through.

To FREEZE, let them cool completely and keep them in an airtight container in the freezer for 1-2 months. Let them thaw overnight and then reheat in the microwave or on the stovetop until theyโ€™re warmed through.

To make ahead: Make the sauce up to 24 hours ahead of time and keep it in an airtight container in the fridge before pouring over the meatballs.

What changes are needed to the cooking time if you used fresh ground beef?

    1. Kristyn Merkley says:

That is a good question. I haven’t tried using fresh ground beef. They probably wouldn’t take the 4 hours, but still maybe the 2. You can check them at 2 hours & see if they need more time or not.
