Aloha Tropical Smoothie Ingredients and Substitutions
- 1 cup pineapple, cubed
- 1 cup strawberries, quartered – fresh or frozen
- 1 banana, sliced – Fresh or frozen; the riper the banana, the sweeter, the better!
- 1 cup low-fat vanilla Greek yogurt – or regular vanilla yogurt, or coconut cream
- 1½ cups ice – If you use frozen fruit, you can reduce or eliminate the amount of ice cubes.
- ⅓ cup pineapple or apple juice – Swap out the pineapple or apple juice in this recipe for orange juice, mango nectar, or coconut water.
- extras – baby spinach, protein powder, chia seeds, nutritional yeast, collagen, or fiber

How to Make an Aloha Tropical Smoothie
- BLEND. Place pineapple chunks, strawberries, banana, yogurt, ice, and fruit juice in the blender. Now simply puree until smooth! Garnish with fresh pineapple wedges if desired.

Kristyn’s Recipe Tips
- We love to add a handful of spinach, a scoop of strawberry or vanilla protein powder, chia seeds, nutritional yeast, collagen, or fiber for added nutrients.
- To choose a ripe pineapple, smell the bottom for sweetness and feel for a slight give when pressed. Additionally, a leaf from the top should pull out easily.
