Its a 130 degrees over here in AZ and we’re melting like a popsicle on the 4th of July! 😉 Even though our hot, summer temps go well into October, we’re already saying goodbye to summer and heading back to school. Crazy! That’s not going to stop us from making fresh, cool, summer salads, though. And today I have another crowd pleaser for you. This Broccoli Slaw is AH-MAZING! It has so many ingredients we love and is perfect for parties and barbecues.
It really takes just minutes to throw together, which makes this delicious salad a favorite!
Broccoli Slaw Recipe
One of the quickest and yummiest side dishes you'll every try - Broccoli Slaw. Recipe is full of broccoli slaw, green onions, oriental ramen noodles, peanuts, and sunflower seeds in a delicious dressing!
- 2 packages broccoli slaw
- 1 bunch green onions sliced
- 2-3 oz Oriental Ramen noodles
- 1 cup sunflower seeds
- 1 cup peanuts
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/3 cup cider vinegar
- 1/4 cup canola oil
Mix together slaw, green onions and crushed ramen noodles,
Whisk together sugar, vinegar, oil and seasoning packets from noodles.
Pour over slaw mixture. Refrigerate to soften noodles. Add nuts and seeds just before serving.
Looks delicious right? We got this recipe from our sister in laws Mom, Kathy, who is an excellent cook and passed on her skills to her daughter. Its kind of a criteria to get into this family. Each of our brothers have married wonderful gals who all happen to be awesome in the kitchen. Just one of the many reasons we love them! I hope you enjoy this recipe as much as we did.
