It only requires 5 simple ingredients, and a little bit of preparation. But you can easily prepare it ahead of time and then throw together the last few things right before your party.

Halloween punch ingredients - sherbet and orange jello

Making orange sherbet punch

BOIL. In small pot, bring 1 cup of pineapple juice to a boil. Stir in gelatin until dissolved.

CHILL. Let cool and transfer to a large container. Add orange juice and remaining pineapple juice. Chill.

SERVE. Just before serving, pour into a punch bowl, add Sprite and mix well. Top with scoops of sherbet and ENJOY!

Variations

  • Use lemon lime soda such as Sprite, 7 Up or Sierra Mist for this recipe.
  • If you want a more orangey taste use orange soda instead.
  • If you want less flavor use ginger ale or sparkling water so you can still have the fizzy carbonation.
  • Add food coloring for a more intense color
  • Use lime sherbet instead
  • Add lime slices to the top of the punch

Tips + Storing Info

To make this delicious orange punch even more festive serve it out of a fun Halloween bowl such as:

  • A black cauldron. Maybe add some dry ice.
  • Carve out a large pumpkin and place a smaller bowl/container inside and fill with the punch.

STORE leftover punch in the fridge. The carbonation will diminish, but it will still taste delicious and you can always add a bit more soda to revive it.

To make ahead of time, prep the first few ingredients a day or two ahead of time and store it in the fridge. Add the sprite and sherbet scoops right before serving.

Notes

Make It Festive:
o Fill a rubber glove with water and freeze it. When ready to serve, add the rubber glove to the punch bowl and youโ€™ll have a floating hand keeping things cool.
o Serve the punch from a black cauldron. This is especially fun when you use dry ice!
o To make it extra-festive, serve in clear cups and draw pumpkin faces on the outside.
Variations: For a green Halloween version, use lime gelatin in place of the orange gelatin, limeade in place of the orange juice and lime sherbet in place of the orange sherbet to make it a festive Witchโ€™s Brew.

For the 1 liter sprite, do you just use half of a 2 liter bottle? Or does it mean to use 1 (2 liter) sprite? Thanks!

    1. Lil'Luna Team says:

I’d recommend sticking with the 1 liter as the recipe lists, but if you feel it needs a little more Sprite, you can certainly add more too.

So delicious! I love how the Sprite makes it so sparkly but the sherbert makes it so creamy! And the sherbert takes the place of ice so it doesn’t get watered down. Genius!

This was amazing!!!! I decided with everything going on with covid-19, to just stay home and have a Halloween party. This was an easy recipe that did not require a lot of time or a lot of money to buy the ingredients. The only thing I did different was substitute the orange sherbet with rainbow sherbet because my grocery store was out of the orange sherbet, but still delicious! Will be using this recipe next year!!!!
