How to Make Pepperoni Christmas Tree Appetizer

  1. ASSEMBLE. Roll out 2 puff pastry sheets and spread 1 cup pizza sauce all over the sheet making sure to go to the edges. Sprinkle on 1-2 cups mozzarella cheese and 2½ ounces mini pepperoni.
    • Add another puff pastry sheet on top and use a sharp knife, or pizza cutter, to cut into 1-inch strips.
    • Fold each strip in an accordion making one end wider than the other and poke a wooden skewer through the tree. Place on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet and press down gently on trees to help keep their shape while baking.
  2. BAKE. Add egg wash to the top of the trees and bake in a preheated oven at 350°F for 10-15 minutes until golden brown and cheese is meted. Serve warm with a dipping sauce like ranch or marinara.
