The holidays are my favorite time of year! I think many people feel the same way. Perhaps it’s all the friend and family get togethers… or the delicious food… or the traditions… or the decor. For me, it’s ALL of those reasons. I even like the hustle and bustle that comes this time of year. Call me crazy, I know, but it just fits in with the holidays and makes me so happy. Another thing that makes me so happy is all the yummy food and recipes made in November and December. We have LOADS of family gatherings these few months, and today I’m sharing a recipe for Ranch Chicken that will be made for a few of these gatherings.
My family likes meat, and because of that we tend to have a few different meat recipes at each gathering. My parents are usually in charge of the beef, and I’m in charge of chicken. I had seen several recipes using Hidden Valley® Ranch Dip and knew that an easy Ranch Chicken would be perfect for this crazy time of year. We have been making Baked Parmesan Ranch Potatoes for years, and I thought making a Sheet Pan Ranch Chicken based off of the potatoes recipe would be great.
It makes me happy when I envision a recipe that tastes even better than I could have imagined. This Ranch Chicken recipe was just that!! It was easy to make and has all the fixin’s to be a holiday family favorite. With flavorful chicken and tasty veggies to go with it, this dish would be great for dinner ANY time of the year.
To begin, we headed to our local Walmart (our one-stop shop for all our holiday needs) to pick up all our ingredients. We ended up using red potatoes and carrots as the veggies for this recipe, but you can change that up based on your favorite vegetables (broccoli, asparagus and cauliflower would all work great as well).
We started the recipe by chopping up our potatoes and adding them and the carrots to a gallon bag. From there we added some olive oil, grated Parmesan cheese, salt, pepper and Hidden Valley Ranch Dip Mix. We mixed this around and added it to a greased baking sheet. Then, we did the same thing with the chicken and placed it on the same sheet. We baked this for 35 – 40 minutes (broiling it for an additional few minutes), and had a new delicious recipe loved by the whole family.
Use Glad Press’n Seal to cover your device or tablet while baking to create a splash-proof screen!
This dish is served best warm, so we used some Glad® Press’n Seal to keep this dish warm until ready to serve. Not only is the Press ‘n Seal handy for keep food fresh and warm, but you can use it to:
- Cover a surface with product to protect counter when working with raw meat
- Cover children’s table with product for easy clean up
GENIUS, right? I even used it to cover my tablet when I was making this recipe to create an instant, splash-proof recipe screen! The Press n’ Seal really had so many uses and sure comes in handy when cooking and baking for the holidays.
I’m all about making delicious recipes on as few of pans as possible! This Ranch Chicken will not only be great for your holiday meal, but will be great all year long. It is simple, requires little work, and can be customized based off of the veggies you love most. SCORE!
