Slushy punch is fruity and fizzy and perfect for any occasion. Adding wax fangs make it a Halloween must!
Magic Potion Drink, Pineapple Pink Lemonade Soda, and this slushy punch are perfect for all of the Halloween events. These drinks are cool and refreshing, and so yummy! Jazz them up for a special occasion, or serve them as is!
A Drink for any occasion
This next recipe was SO fun to make. The kiddos were able to help out, and they got such a kick out of it all. After making the Ghoul-Aid recipe I posted awhile back I thought I would try another Halloween Drink.
I modified it a bit and then added the Wax Vampire Fangs (from Michael’s and also found at Mall Candy Shops) for a perfect Halloween Slush Punch!
Pretty fun, right?! It helps that these fangs just float on top like that. I have such fun memories of playing with these wax lips as a kid and knew my kids would love them too. They were the perfect thing to make this recipe Halloween-ish!
The best part of all was that this slushy punch was amazing!! The whole family LOVED it. 🙂 I can just picture this punch at a reception too so I just made sure I took pictures to show that this is great Slushy Punch recipe for any occasion!
Making Slushy Punch
BOIL. Bring sugar, water, and strawberry Jell-O mix to a boil in a large pot.
COMBINE. Stir in pineapple juice, lemon juice, and orange juice.
FREEZE. Divide into 2 separate containers and freeze.
MIX + SERVE. Combine contents of 1 container with 1 bottle of lemon-lime soda in a punch bowl. Stir until slushy. Repeat for the other container if you need to make more.
Notes:
- This recipe is divided and makes “TWO” servings (for a large event). For just one serving, half the recipe.
- If you’re doing this for Halloween you don’t need wax lips for every cup. Just place a few in the punch bowl for a “creepy” effect. 😉
Recipe Variations + Tips
I used strawberry mixture and it turned out delicious and I love how it looks with the vampire teeth. If you wish, you can use another flavor of Jell-o such as cherry or raspberry. Choose whatever flavor you think will pair well with the pineapple and orange juice.
I have this categorized as a Halloween punch, however, it works great for any holiday or party. Remove the vampire teeth and add a prettier garnish such as sliced strawberries and lemons.
You can also serve it with sugar rimmed glasses. Place some lemon juice in a bowl and sugar in another bowl. Dip the rim of the glass in the lemon juice and then the sugar.
Serve with a fun little cocktail umbrella.
Freezing Tips
A 1 gallon freezer Ziploc bag should be large enough to hold half of the mixture. Use another gallon Ziploc for the other half.
You can freeze the mixture until it is almost, but not completely solid. Overnight was perfect, but that may differ depending how cold your freezer is.
If the mixture completely freezes, then allow it to thaw for 1-2 hours before mixing it with the soda, or microwave it 30 seconds at a time until its softer and can be broken into a slush.
Put the frozen block and then put it into a roasting pan. Adding a little soda at a time, use a potato masher to get the slushy consistency you’re looking for. Then, transfer it into a punch bowl.

A long with our yummy foods are the yummy drinks. This drink is so good and refreshing. The family will love it.
Lol! The vampire teeth are a cute addition, tastes great
I love this idea! Just one quick question…does the lemon lime soda need to be cold or room temp when mixing it into the frozen mix?
Thank you!
I like it to be cold so the iced slushy part doesn’t melt as fast, but it can be made either way. 🙂
Those fangs make the drinks look awesomely creepy. Well done!
Thank you, Nancy! They were definitely a great edition that the kiddos loved!
So super fun!!! I love the floating teeth!! Very spooktacular!!
