A Salty Snack to Love!

When a salty craving strikes, I like to have this snack mix on hand because it’s utterly delicious!

This appetizer is similar to our Original Chex Mix Recipe and is perfect to store, making it ready for on-the-go snacking, afterschool munchies, or movie nights (we love adding it to our After School Snack Board and Movie Night Charcuterie Board).

Why we love it:

  • No-bake party mix. No need to heat the oven, just add the ingredients to a bowl and toss!
  • Great for gifting. This classic mix is great for storing! Package in airtight containers for a thoughtful and tasty homemade gift for friends and family.
  • Deliciously savory. The crackers and nuts with the Ranch Dressing mix offer a flavorful and satisfying snack experience.
  • Make it your own. Easily mix in different types of crackers, nuts, and seasonings to suit individual tastes or allergies.

It’s also great for any party, BBQ or gathering.

Recipe Tips

  • Bowl. Use a mixing bowl large enough to properly blend all the ingredients.
  • Even coating. Ensure that the oil is drizzled evenly for maximum flavor in each bite. If adding a lot of extras, increase the amount of seasoning and oil added.
  • Variations. Add any of the following to your snack mix recipe.
    • cereals. Wheat Chex, Rice Chex, Plain Chex cereal, plain or honey Cheerios
    • crackers. oyster crackers, Ritz cheese crackers, bagel chips
    • something sweet. Add M&Ms, chocolate chips, raisins, or Caramel Popcorn. Add the sweet ingredients after tossing the savory ingredients with oil.
