Christmas Veggie Tray is such a cute and easy holiday appetizer, and we love that it makes veggies feel festive and fun. Broccoli, sugar snap peas, cherry tomatoes, and yellow bell pepper are arranged into a Christmas tree shape for a simple party platter that looks so pretty on the table.

We love serving this with homemade ranch or our go-to veggie dip for Christmas parties, holiday dinners, school events, and family gatherings. It’s fresh, colorful, and a great way to add something lighter to all the holiday treats and desserts.

This veggie tray is a delicious and beautiful addition to holiday parties, along with our Christmas Tree Charcuterie Board and Christmas Charcuterie Board. It also pairs great with other festive sides and main dishes like our easy Christmas Ham!

Why you’ll love it + Why it works:

  • So fun! A fun way to get kids and adults excited about eating vegetables.
  • Party ready. Perfect for Christmas parties and holiday dinners.
  • Make ahead. Can be arranged ahead of time and served chilled.
  • Sugar snap peas create the tree outline. Their shape makes it easy to form the angled branches.
  • Colorful vegetables make it festive. Broccoli fills in the tree, tomatoes look like ornaments, and yellow bell pepper works perfectly for garland and the star.

    Kristyn’s Recipe Tips

    • Dry the vegetables well after rinsing so they stay crisp and do not make the platter watery.
    • Use a large flat platter so there is plenty of room to shape the Christmas tree.
    • Place the sugar snap peas first to create a clear outline before filling in with broccoli.
    • Cut the bell pepper into thin strips so it is easy to make garland and a star.
    • Make-ahead tip: wash and chop the vegetables ahead, then arrange the tray shortly before serving and keep it chilled.

OH my gosh…this is so cute! I have to make this for the holidays! Our little one loves vegetables and dipping too! My favorite tradition is when our elf brings a box of individually wrapped books on December 1st….with instructions our little one gets to open one book each night for bedtime story. This is our 3rd year doing it, and he loves it so much and we get some great new stories to read. When the books are gone…its Christmas!
