White chocolate lasagna

lasagna – but the dessert kind!

We have a new dessert for you that we think you will love!

WHITE CHOCOLATE LASAGNA!

You may wonder why we are calling it lasagna, but it’s mostly because it has layers like a lasagna. In this dessert, there are layers of crushed Golden Oreos, cream cheese, pudding, whipped cream and it’s all topped with white chocolate curls!!

You may not want to call it lasagna, but you may want to call it White Chocolate Heaven, because it is really so good!!!

Easy layers made in no time

Actually preparing this layered dessert doesn’t take long at all, but plan ahead because it will need to refrigerate for at least an hour before serving!

CREAMY LAYER. In a medium bowl, blend cream cheese, margarine/butter, powdered sugar and ½ of the cool whip. Blend well and pour over your Golden Oreo Crust.

PUDDING LAYER. In another bowl, make your pudding by adding your milk to your bowl and instant pudding. Whisk together until pudding thickens. Pour over the cream cheese layer. Refrigerate for at least 5 minutes.

TOP & SERVE. Top off with the rest of your Cool Whip (or homemade whipped cream if you like!). Add white chocolate shavings. Refrigerate at least 1 hour before serving.

Add: Try adding your favorite fresh berries on top. You can also add some texture with white chocolate chips.

CRUST. Begin by crushing your Oreos. For a very fine mixture, place Oreos in your food processor. Place in a ziploc baggie and add your melted butter. Mix until it is well combined. Press into the bottom of a 9×13 pan spreading out to cover the entire bottom of the pan.

Storing Leftovers

I recommend waiting to add any toppings (besides the last layer of cool whip) before storing. You can store white chocolate lasagna in the fridge, or in the freezer.

  • Fridge: Store covered in the refrigerator for about 5 days.
  • Freeze: Cover pan with plastic wrap then again with aluminum foil. Label and freeze for about 1 month. Thaw in the fridge.

Hi Kristyn, This seems to be soft and delicious but if you give the measurements in grams, I think it would be more easy to get an exact chocolate lasagna as you did here.Thanks. Matt, Kerala, India.

    1. Lil'Luna Team says:

Thanks for the feedback! There are some online unit converters that can show you the amount from cups to grams. That might be helpful too when trying to make the lasagna.

  9. Jean Janzen says:

Would like to see recipe converted into grams, to make recipe easier.
    Thank you

    1. Kristyn Merkley says:

I am sorry. There are converters online, that you could use, though. I don’t measure by grams.

I made this for my family christmas, with a couple of minor alterations. I used vanilla wafers instead of the golden oreos and i left off the white chocolate shavings. other than that, i followed the recipe. my family loved it!!! this recipe is definitely a keeper. Thank you so much!

i FIRST CAME ACROSS YOUR LEMON LASAGNA, AS i AM A LEMON FANATIC. sINCE THAT TIME, i’VE CREATED A LASAGNA OF MY OWN, YOU HAVE ONE SIMILAR, BUT i DO IT DIFFERENTLY. i CALL IT MINT CHOCOLATE LASAGNA. i USE THE MINT OREOS FOR THE CRUST. BUT, INSTEAD OF CHOCOLATE PUDDING, i USE COOKIES AND CREAM PUDDING, ADDING REAL PEPPERMINT OIL TO THE PUDDING. IT HAS BEEN A HIT EVERYWHERE i’VE TAKEN IT. i EVEN HAVE A LOW CARB VERSION OF THE LEMON LASAGNA. i’VE GONE LASAGNA DESERT CRAZY! THANKS FOR SUCH A GREAT IDEA!

    1. Kristyn Merkley says:

That sounds great!! I’ll have to try! Thank you so much for sharing that!

    Mmmmm Good!!
I made this today, but instead of just regular vanilla pudding, I ran across Dove White Chocolate pudding at Wal-Mart.
    It IS so good!!!
    Thanks for your idea…

    1. Kristyn Merkley says:

YUM! Thank you for sharing that! Love anything Dove!

    Lil’ Luna,
I’ve made this so many times, I lost count. This is one of the easiest desserts I think I have ever made. It is versatile. I never follow a recipe exactly, I always put my own little twist on it. I have taken the basic recipe, and used regular chocolate oreos as the base to make a chocolate one, I have also changed the flavor of the pudding. Everyone who has had it simply loves it. Thanks for the recipe.

    1. Kristyn Merkley says:

Awe, you are so nice! Thank you so much! And, I agree..it’s very versatile!! There are so many flavors you could do. I am so glad you like it!

  22. Jessie says:

    5 stars
Thank you so much for this recipe! I have made it 3 times now and it is so delicious. I follow the recipe exactly except I use crushed pecan sandies instead of golden Oreos (just a personal preference) and I think it gives it a nice flavor.

    1. Kristyn Merkley says:

Perfect! Thank you for letting me know 🙂

  23. Marianne says:

Can’t wait to make this for Christmas! What size package of oreo’s do you use?

    1. Marianne says:

oops! I just saw the same question!

  24. Cindy says:

Ready to make this! Regular or family size Oreos? The crust does not bake, just mix with butter?

    1. Lil' Luna says:

Just the regular size oreos & nope, no need to bake 🙂 Hope you like it!!

  25. Linda says:

    5 stars
This looks so yummy – I have to make this soon! I’d also like to try this with a LEMON filling/pudding – will this set-up ?

    1. Lil' Luna says:

Lemon would be great! It should set up the same 🙂 Enjoy!

  26. Bharat Ratna Winners says:

    5 stars
    Yum looks good.

    1. Lil' Luna says:

It’s the best 🙂 Thanks so much for stopping by!

  27. Vickie Bennett says:

Would be great if you added coconut.

    1. Lil' Luna says:

You definitely could 🙂 I’ll need to give that a try! Thanks!

  28. Kim Kerr says:

I just have a question- I went out to buy the ingredients this afternoon but the only white chocolate pudding you can get here (Ontario Canada) is ‘Fat Free’. Do you recommend using this? I really wanted the white chocolate taste over the vanilla (pudding).

    1. Lil' Luna says:

I haven’t tried the fat free, but it shouldn’t change it too much! Let me know how you like it! Thanks!!

  29. Kim Kerr says:

I am going to make this today because I have now made your Pumpkin Lasagna 3 times and it was an ABSOLUTE HIT. My 23 year old son said out of all my baking (and I have done a lot over the years) that was now his number one most favorite dessert. My family actually tries to ration each other out on not having more than one piece a day as it ‘isn’t fair’ to the other family members! ???? I actually had to put a sticky note on the container requesting ‘no fork drive-by’s please’ ????????. Needless to say I know this one will be a hit for the company we are having for supper on Sunday! Thank you!

    1. Lil' Luna says:

LOL…that is too funny and a great idea about the sticky note!! Thank you so much for letting me know…makes me happy!! You’ll love this one!

  30. Burr Battle says:

Looks incredibly delish! How many does this recipe serve?

    1. Lil' Luna says:

It’s a 9×13 pan, so depending on what size you cut your squares, you could get as much or as little out of it. You could probably get anywhere from 12 big ones to 16-20 smaller ones. Hope that helps 🙂

      1. Burr Battle says:

        THANKS! 🙂

  31. Ada Waller says:

Heart attack on a plate, I hope you don’t feed your children like this on a regular basis.

    1. Lil' Luna says:

No, I don’t, but it’s nice to have on special occasions!:)

  32. Kathy says:

    4 stars
Ohh…can’t wait to try this recipe. It sounds so delish

    1. Lil' Luna says:

It is!! Did you try it? I hope you loved it, like we do!!

  33. Tani Odorfer says:

Hi. Did you melt the butter you add to the cream cheese?

    Thanks

  34. sherri says:

How much is a package of oreos? I need the measurements in cups, as I found some oreos that were getting close to exp date, so I crushed them and froze them. Thanks 🙂

  35. CeeCee says:

Can this be made the night before?

    1. Lil' Luna says:

I haven’t made it the night before but I’m positive it would be just fine if you did. I might wait to add the chocolate curls on top, but other than that you should be fine. 😉

  36. Ron Spicer says:

I will definitely be trying this it looks so good!

    1. Lil' Luna says:

Would love to know what you think of it when you do try it. Thanks for stopping by. 😉

  37. Jdy says:

This was fantastic. No problem with the cookies in my food processor. Even did steps 3 & 4 in the processor. Look forward to making again.

    1. Lil' Luna says:

We didn’t have any problems either. Glad you guys like it!! Thanks for stopping by. 😉

  38. Diane Tyler Wilkes says:

    1. Lil' Luna says:

      Thank you!!

  39. Milinda says:

Those treats looks almost as good as your little one look so cute. I am going to try then as soon as I can. You must be a sweet person to be able to make such sweet treats and want to share them for free too. Good Luck! Thank you!

    1. Lil' Luna says:

Awww, thanks!! Would love to know you how like the White Chocolate Lasagna if you give it a try. 😉 Thanks for stopping by!!

  40. Pat Scott says:

Just finished making this dessert but with cheesecake pudding and strawberries, however, this one is next. So simple and quick and with most of the ingredients you already have in your pantry and fridge. Thank you so much

    1. Lil' Luna says:

Ooooh – cheesecake pudding and strawberries?! Sounds AMAZING!!!

  41. Roger says:

    5 stars
Made this today, exactly by the recipe, just absolutely awesome! Thinking I may add some strawberries and blue berries (USA flag design) to the top for 4th of July. Thank you!

    1. Lil' Luna says:

SO glad you liked them!! And I think a Patriotic version would be awesome. Would love to see a pic if you end up doing it. 😉

  42. Lesli M says:

    4 stars
This was amazing, but in the future, I will use a simple graham crust or vanilla wafer due to the difficulty and mess involved with the oreos. The stuff in the middle make a dang mess!!

  43. Beverly says:

This may be a dumb, question, but….do you use only the cookie part of the oreo and not the white cream center? I’d really like to make this, but just don’t want to mess up. Thanks

    1. Lesli M says:

      4 stars
I would scrape out the “stuff” only because my processor bogged up with the weight it. Or simply use a vanilla wafer type cookie that doesn’t have the frosting center.

    2. Jamie says:

      4 stars
Oh no – don’t scrape it out, use the whole cookie. Use your food processor. It is crumby, not messy.

    3. Peggy says:

      5 stars
Oh no do NOT scrape it out. What a waste, lol. If you can’t use or don’t have a processor just put the whole cookies in a quart size Ziploc bag and crush them that way. Keep the filling!

      1. Lil' Luna says:

I agree – the filling makes it great and makes a better base. 😉

  44. Melissa says:

I bet my kids would love this! I will need to make this very soon. Very soon indeed.

  45. Phil says:

Stupid question of the day. Does this freeze? I would say no but I thought I would ask.

  46. Liz says:

This looks so good. Thanks Lily. You and your brother are so very cute. Have a good Sunday and a Wonderful Week.

  47. Lissa says:

I love your recipe for White Chocolate Lasagna. I fully expected a pasta dish. Lol. Thankfully, it’s layer after layer of sweet goodness, no pasta. It looks delicious. I struggle to cook recipes that my daughter will like. This definitely wins kid approval. I will have to try it sometime.

hi here in New Zealand we don’t have cool whip so what could I use instead.
