Soft and sweet

When I saw these “Grandmas Honey Muffins” I knew I had to try them! After all, we love muffins!

After putting my little spin on it and making sure they were perfection I turned to my tasters. ๐Ÿ™‚ Everyone loved these simple and sweet honey muffins!!

They are light and fluffy and, with a little bit of butter, are melt in your mouth good! We decided to try out agave (in place of honey) in this recipe and I’m so glad we did. They were perfectly sweet.

I hope you decide to try these out, you’ll be happy you did.

Making Sweet Honey Muffins

PREP. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

DRY INGREDIENTS. Combine flour, sugar, baking powder and salt in a large bowl.

WET INGREDIENTS. In a separate bowl, combine egg, milk, butter and agave. Stir wet ingredients into dry and mix just until moistened.

BAKE + SERVE. Fill greased or paper-lined muffin cups three-fourths full. Bake at 350 for 12-15 minutes or until golden and baked through. Cool 5 minutes then remove to a wire rack. Serve warm.

Tips + Storing Info

I know you are going to absolutely love these muffins! They would taste perfect served warm from the oven with some butter, jam, or even cinnamon butter like the one we use in our Copycat Texas Roadhouse Rolls recipe.

If you are looking for a good substitute for the milk in this recipe – coconut milk would be a great substitute, but feel free to try almond or soy milk as well.

STORE well covered on the countertop for a few days.

To FREEZE, wait until the muffins are completely cooled and put them into a freezer container or Ziploc freezer bag. When you are ready to eat them they are best thawed at room temperature or popped into the microwave for 20-30 seconds on high heat.

This recipe has 2 separate listings for milk. Do you use both and use 1 1/4 cup of milk?
