Pretty Enough to Eat!

The holidays are such a fun time to create fun and festive recipes and dishes!

With all of these festivities, we ALWAYS include a vegetable tray (or Charcuterie Board). This Christmas Tree Veggie Platter is always a welcome hit – especially with the kids!

It whips up in 10 minutes and you can easily add or adjust with your favorite veggies. We love to include our homemade ranch or go-to veggie dip.

This veggie tray is a delicious and beautiful addition to holiday parties, along with our Christmas Tree Charcuterie Board and Christmas Charcuterie Board.

Ingredients

  • 1 crown broccoli, large or use cauliflower crowns for an all-white Christmas tree.
  • 1 cup sugar snap peas – or celery to give the tree shape
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes or grape tomatoes, cut radishes, or stamp circles from sliced red bell peppers to resemble red ornaments
  • 1 yellow bell pepper – or use cheddar cheese strips or sliced baby carrots to resemble golden garland

How to Assemble Our Christmas Tree Veggie Platter

  1. PREP. Rinse veggies. Chop 1 head of broccoli into crowns and cut 1 bell pepper into strips.
  2. LAYER. Arrange the snap peas on a platter to look like a Christmas tree outline then fill the center in with the broccoli crowns.
  3. GARNISH. Add the yellow strips from 1 bell pepper to look like a garland. Use 4 smaller bell pepper strips to stack in a star shape and add it to the top. Arrange 1 cup of cherry tomatoes to look like ornaments. Serve with your favorite veggie dip.

Christmas Tree Veggie Platter

Ingredients 

  • 1 crown broccoli, large
  • 1 cup sugar snap peas
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes
  • 1 yellow bell pepper

Instructions 

  • Rinse veggies. Chop broccoli and bell pepper into strips.
  • Arrange the snap peas on a platter to resemble the outline of a Christmas Tree with the angle of the peas downward. Fill the center in with the broccoli florets.
  • Add bell peppers to look like garland, and then use 4 smaller strips to create a star at the top.
  • Sprinkle with cherry tomatoes to resemble ornaments and serve with your favorite veggie dip.

Prep ahead of time. Prep veggies up to 48 hours in advance. Keep the different elements in separate Ziplocs in the fridge. Assemble the Christmas veggie tray a few hours before serving. Wrap the tree with plastic wrap and keep it in the fridge.
