How to Make Christmas Tree Pull Apart Bread
- PREP. Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a large jelly roll pan or large baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Open 2 (16.3-ounce) cans Pillsbury Grand buttermilk biscuits and separate each biscuit into 2 layers for a total of 32 biscuits.
- ASSEMBLE. Flatten each section into a 4-inch circle. Add 1 piece of mozzarella cheese and 1 piece of Colby Jack cheese (2 pieces total) to each round, fold the biscuit dough over the cheese, and pinch to seal.
- Place each tightly sealed ball, seam side down, onto the prepared pan in a Christmas tree shape, starting with 2 balls for the trunk.
- Add 6 balls for the bottom of the tree, then 2 rows of 5 balls, 2 rows of 4 balls, a row of 3 balls, then 2 balls, and then a single ball on top.
- BAKE. Melt 2 tablespoons butter in a microwave-safe bowl. Whisk in 1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese, ½ teaspoon garlic salt, and ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning then brush onto the tops of the biscuits. Bake for 22-26 minutes or until golden brown.
- Serve warm with 12 ounces of warm Pizza Sauce or Marinara Sauce.
PRO TIP: Best Way to Transfer Your Tree
Use the parchment paper to transfer the baked tree to a serving tray. You can either trim the parchment paper close to the tree or gently slide it out from under the tree.
