A Bright Dressing to Love!

I LOVE salads and eat them all of the time!

Our favorite Apple Salad is perfectly dressed with this bright, flavorful citrus vinaigrette. It’s such a delicious and fresh dressing for our favorite spring salad recipes.

I love using this zesty vinaigrette on a simple salad but it can be used as a marinade for chicken or fish as well which enhances the flavors so incredibly well!

Why we love it:

  • So much more than a dressing. Use it as a dressing for Roasted Vegetables, or to flavor Crock Pot Rice, quinoa, or pasta, or use it as a marinade.
  • Bright and refreshing. The citrus flavors are seasonal and delicious!
  • All year long. From summer to fall, this dressing is perfect for any season.

A Few Ingredients

  • tangerines they are often labeled as mandarines. Another type of mandarine that can be used is clementines. In a pinch, use fresh orange juice.
  • olive oil – you can also use vegetable, canola, or avocado oil
  • lemon – fresh lemon juice is best but bottled can be used.
  • clove garlic
  • lemon zest
  • salt to taste

  1. DRESSING. Tangerine juice, oil, lemon juice, garlic, lemon zest, and salt in a container. Seal and shake until combined.
  2. SALAD. Make the salad by tossing the baby greens, walnuts, feta, lemon zest, and apple together in a large bowl.

Recipe Tips

  • The peak season for tangerines is October to January.
  • Zest the lemon before juicing it. See the How to Zest a Lemon post for more tips.
