I have used this recipe for years. I taught my daughter to make this peach cobbler when she was in high school and had to take a desert to a 4-H meeting. One of the other kids who wanted to become a Chef asked her if she brought vanilla ice cream to go on top of it. My daughter told him her cobbler did not need any help. After the meeting he asked for the recipe and she refused to give it to him and told him it was a secret family recipe. Then whenever the 4-Her’s were having a dinner one of the volunteers would ask her if she was making cobbler. She never brought any leftovers home. If the kids did not eat it all the volunteer always took the rest of it home. It is a good recipe for someone just learning to cook.

So good! I like it even better when made with buttermilk instead of regular milk.
Yum!! That sounds delicious. So glad you enjoy the cobbler!
Thank you for this wonderful recipe. I’m a Florida girl, so substituted Mangos for the peaches.
Excellent, everyone raved.
Ooh mangos sound like an exciting twist to the recipe! So glad to hear that the recipe was a hit!

Thank YOU for giving it a try! I’m so happy to hear you enjoyed it!
AWESOME
Thank you! So glad you enjoyed it!
It’s probably a great recipe. The cake part seemed rubbery and not fluffy. I used soy milk not dairy milk, but use soy milk in everything else I bake and it works. Flavor was wonderful. And it got eaten up. So what did I do wrong? Does this recipe really need dairy milk?
Hi! I have never made this cobbler using soy milk, so I’m not completely sure how it turns out with that substitution. You could certainly try making it again with dairy and see if there is a difference in the texture. You’ll have to let us know if you do!
I can’t make enough of this recipe! It’s gone before it’ s cooled! Thank you for a new family favorite!
Oh yay! I’m so happy to hear it’s a family favorite now!!
I love this recipe!! I use it all the time and it’s always a big hit!! The only difference is that I sprinkle cinnamon on top after it’s cooked. Perfection!!
