- BAKE + SERVE. Bake for 40-45 minutes and serve warm.
We love to serve it with a scoop of Vanilla Ice Cream and Whipped Cream!
prefer to use Fresh Peaches?
To use fresh peaches you need a boiled fresh peach mixture.
- Take 2 cups of freshly sliced peaches (about 4-5 peaches, peeled, cored, and sliced), ¾ cup of sugar, and a dash of salt, and bring to a boil over high heat.
- Pour over batter into the 9×9 pan. Do not mix!
- The rest of the recipe remains exactly the same.

This really was the best way to eat peaches. SO easy and so so yummy. I used home-canned peaches and it turned out so well. Especially because they were so juicy and from my garden!

Peach Cobbler is excellent, a little sweet, so I might use a little less sugar next time. So easy will use this again.
Yay! So glad you enjoyed. You can certainly adjust the sugar to your liking too. 🙂
I love that you have included instructions for using both canned and fresh peaches. I live in the south and occasionally you get access to a good batch of homegrown fruit and this would be a great way to use a surplus in a two person household.
You’re welcome! Yes, if you have fresh on hand, they are great in this cobbler too. I bet those southern peaches are to die for!
I’m fixing to try this it looks awesome
Yay! Hope you enjoy the cobbler!
If using fresh peaches, do you add water to boil them? Sounds delish!
Substitute the canned peaches in step 4 with this boiled peach mixture. Take 2 cups of freshly sliced peaches, 1 cup of sugar, and 1 Tablespoon of lemon juice, and bring to a boil over high heat. Pour over the batter in the 8×8 pan and do not mix.
Nope, no water necessary. The juices from the peaches will provide enough liquid. Here’s the instructions from the post if using fresh peaches instead… Take 2 cups of freshly sliced peaches, 1 cup of sugar, and 1 Tablespoon of lemon juice, and bring to a boil over high heat. Pour over batter in the 8×8 pan. Do not mix! The rest of the recipe remains exactly the same.
