We love to serve it with a scoop of Vanilla Ice Cream and Whipped Cream!
prefer to use Fresh Peaches?
To use fresh peaches you need a boiled fresh peach mixture.
- Take 2 cups of freshly sliced peaches (about 4-5 peaches, peeled, cored, and sliced), ยพ cup of sugar, and a dash of salt, and bring to a boil over high heat.
- Pour over batter into the 9×9 pan. Do not mix!
- The rest of the recipe remains exactly the same.

Well I made this recipe followed it except I added half more of everything because I had a big can of peaches. For example if the recipe called for 1 cup of milk I added 1 1/2 cups of milk and did this with all ingredients, because I did this I left it in oven a little longer about 15 min longer going by top till it was almost golden brown Results OH MY GOODNESS PEOPLE SOOO DELICIOUS AND YES MY HUSBAND THOUGHT SO TOO. Remer get you a good flavored vanilla icecream and what a TREAT thank you for posting this recipe
I like more fruit to cobbler; can I double the canned peaches?
I imagine you can! You may need to alter the size of the pan to accommodate for the extra peaches. I haven’t doubled the peaches only before, so you’ll have to tell us how it turns out.
This was fabulous! I am a peach cobbler and crisp maven and this recipe technique was so simple, different and delicious! It also invites additions like vanilla or almond flavoring, a different type of flour (I used while whole wheat, but may use all whole wheat next time) and crunchy additions like sprinkling sugar on top, slivered almonds or oatmeal … endless possibilities! I used fresh peaches right off our tree and simple sliced them into the dish, covering the top and the finished product was moist and did not need any more liquid. Yum!
Thanks so much for your feedback! I’m so happy to hear that you enjoyed cobbler. Love all the ideas for mixing it up and adding to it if desired. So fun!
This is a great recipe! I added a teaspoon of vanilla to the batter and it turned out wonderful! There is not too much liquid at all once you let it cool for a little bit. Turned out great and hubby is going back for seconds as we speak!

Easiest, best tasting, most delectable peach cobbler ever! I did put my own twist on it by adding cinnamon to the batter and using a half of cup of brown sugar and a half of cup of cane. I also added nutmeg and fresh lemon juice to the peaches. SOOO GOOD!

I always like making a recipe as is before adjusting it. I have to say this was really good. Next time I’ll try some of the fun twists other commenters suggested, but it is definitely delicious without it.
