THE EASIEST + YUMMIEST PEACH COBBLER
Today, we wanted to share with you our favorite homemade peach cobbler recipe. We’ve made this recipe for decades and think it’s the easiest, yummiest peach cobbler out there.

- Perfect all year long. Summer, winter, holidays – it’s always good!
- PREP TIME: 5 MINS
- COOK TIME: 40 MINS

- 1 – 15 ounce can of peaches – the whole can (peaches and juice) – fresh peaches work too!
- 1/2 cup butter – we use unsalted
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup milk – we recommend at least 2% milk
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- pinch of salt
- cinnamon – it’s optional, but it does add more flavor
STEP BY STEP
- PREP. Preheat your oven to 350ยฐF and melt the 1/2 cup butter in a 9×9 baking dish in your oven.
- CAKE. In a medium bowl, mix 1 cup flour, 1 cup sugar, 1 cup milk, 2 teaspoons baking powder, and pinch of salt really well. Take the pan out of the oven once the butter is melted and pour the batter mixture over it.
- PEACHES. Spoon the peaches (with the juice) over it. Do NOT mix!!
- BAKE + SERVE. Bake for 40-45 minutes and serve warm.
We love to serve it with a scoop of Vanilla Ice Cream and Whipped Cream!
prefer to use Fresh Peaches?
To use fresh peaches you need a boiled fresh peach mixture.
- Take 2 cups of freshly sliced peaches (about 4-5 peaches, peeled, cored, and sliced), ยพ cup of sugar, and a dash of salt, and bring to a boil over high heat.
- Pour over batter into the 9×9 pan. Do not mix!
- The rest of the recipe remains exactly the same.

All purpose flour works great!
Your recipe seems really interesting Iโm going to try it but you are dead thereโs something about the little video towards the bottom of the page. It makes it very difficult to see your recipe thank you.
This turned out lovely! I only had an 8×8 (instead of the 9×9), so I had to bake it a bit longer. Never made a cobbler before, and will definitely do this recipe again. Thanks!
I made this gluten-free for my Granddaughter who has Celiac Disease and she was thrilled. I just substituted with gluten free flour and it turned out soooooo good!
That is awesome!! Thanks so much for sharing. Glad you all enjoyed the cobbler!
I just made this today. Smelled amazing while cooking and looks amazing. My question is can leftovers ve refrigerated?
Yes, the leftover cobbler can be refrigerated for about 4 days. You can easily reheat in the microwave too!
This cobbler always comes out perfect much like my grandma made. She added 1/4 t nutmeg to the peaches. I can smell it baking in my oven for tonight, a cold evening dessert.
Peach cobbler is one of my very favorite desserts but I’ve had the hardest time finding an easy one that also tastes good! This one is really easy and yummy, it was a hit with everyone! ๐
I made this recipe last Thanksgiving and it was delicious
Can other fruits be used instead of peaches? This simple recipe was what my mom used. She had five kids and didnโt have a lot of time for cooking as she also worked outside the home. Thanks for sharing this recipe. I added cinnamon to the peaches but it would have been good without the cinnamon also.
I’ve used pears, and pie fillings some seem a little too sweet so I reduce the amount of suger. When I tried fresh berries it was always soggy or too sweet, but I haven’t given up yet. A friend suggested adding corn starch to the berries. Will be tring it soon.
Well I made this recipe followed it except I added half more of everything because I had a big can of peaches. For example if the recipe called for 1 cup of milk I added 1 1/2 cups of milk and did this with all ingredients, because I did this I left it in oven a little longer about 15 min longer going by top till it was almost golden brown Results OH MY GOODNESS PEOPLE SOOO DELICIOUS AND YES MY HUSBAND THOUGHT SO TOO. Remer get you a good flavored vanilla icecream and what a TREAT thank you for posting this recipe
