prefer to use Fresh Peaches?

To use fresh peaches you need a boiled fresh peach mixture.

  1. Take 2 cups of freshly sliced peaches (about 4-5 peaches, peeled, cored, and sliced), ¾ cup of sugar, and a dash of salt, and bring to a boil over high heat.
  2. Pour over batter into the 9×9 pan. Do not mix!
  3. The rest of the recipe remains exactly the same.

What a great and easy dessert made with canned peaches, really delicious 😋

    1. Lil'Luna Team says:

So glad to hear you enjoyed the cobbler!!

  5. Debi Masciarelli says:

May be a dumb question, but here goes: In the video I noticed the flour was mixed by hand; is it ok to use a mixer? Does that matter? I never made a cobbler before, so not sure.

    1. Lil'Luna Team says:

You could use a mixer, but it’s simpler to use a spoon and the batter doesn’t necessarily require needing a mixer. Hope you enjoy the cobbler!

I love this recipe and have made it SEVERAL times. I have a bag of frozen peaches from this summer’s Peach Truck that I’d like to use. How would you recommend I use them in the mixture?

    1. Lil'Luna Team says:

Ooh I bet those peaches are amazing! I haven’t used frozen peaches for this recipe before. We do have a variation in the post of how to use fresh peaches rather than canned, so I’d imagine if you defrost the peaches and use them as “fresh” peaches (following the steps for those), it may work? Hopefully they won’t be too mushy. You’ll have to let us know how it turns out using frozen.

This recipe worked just fine, but it was a bit too sweet, too wet, and too – dare I say – buttery for my liking. Next time I will reduce the sugar and butter to about half what was called for, and possibly reduce the liquid as well. Might be nice to try brown sugar too. Cinnamon is highly recommend as the contrast is sorely needed. Points for a really Quick dessert made with pantry staples!

So easy to make and my family loves it. I add 2 tsp of vanilla to give it a little extra flavor and extra peaches because my family says there is no such thing as too many peaches 🙂 thank you

This was so easy to throw together using ingredients from my pantry. I didn’t have peaches, but we had some frozen strawberries so I used those instead. Added a bit of extra sugar and a splash of vanilla. The whole family enjoyed it. Thank you!

    1. Lil'Luna Team says:

That’s fun to sub with strawberries. So glad it turned out yummy! Thanks for sharing what you did.
