PB + CHOCOLATE = YUMMY!

If you’re familiar with this site at all then you would know that my family and I are huge fans of dessert BARS.

Whether they are brownies or blondies or anything in between, we love trying them out and picking our favorites.

One of the main reasons we love them so much is because they are usually really easy to make as well as quick. And who could blame us for wanting a yummy treat pretty quickly?! 😉

Today’s Reeses Pieces Bars are just that – easy and quick AND delicious! They’re especially delicious if you are a huge fan of the PB + Chocolate combo that is so yummy.

Batter in a bowl with chocolate chips and Reeses Pieces poured on top.

DRY INGREDIENTS. In a separate bowl, combine all dry ingredients. Stir into the batter.

MIX. Pour in the reeses pieces and chocolate chips. Gently mix. Evenly spread batter into a greased 9×13 pan.

BAKE. Bake at 350 for about 30 min or until an inserted toothpick comes out clean. Allow to cool.

Variations, Tips + Storing Info

Ways to mix it up these Reeses Pieces Bars:

  • Add in chopped peanut butter cups
  • Peanut butter chips alongside the Reeses Pieces and chocolate chips
  • Add crushed and whole Reeses pieces to the batter to let flavor spread out more

Each box is 4 oz, so if you need ¾ cup, or 6 oz, you need a box and a half, but honestly 2 boxes would work just fine, you would just have a good amount of peanut butter in the blondie.

I don’t think I specified whether you should use crunchy or creamy peanut butter. I would personally use creamy to get that creamy and chewy blondie texture. If crunchy is all that you have on hand it would work too. It would just be a little bit of a strange texture.

STORE at room temperature in an air-tight container. They should last for about a week, any longer and they could go stale, or fall apart and become mushy gross.

FREEZE in an airtight container for 3-5 months.

You should make sure to use melted butter, and if you really want to make sure that these are moist and chewy you can add an additional egg yolk to the batter

Hey! It might be too late to get a reply but just wondering if you think it’d make a difference if I used natural peanut butter? What do ya think?

I want to make these but the recipe doesn’t specify what type of flour to use. Do I use self-rising or all purpose?

I like to use all purpose flour! Hope you like them as much as we do!

I made these last night, and they came out great!! I did have to bake them a little longer than directed because they were still a little too gooey in the middle after 30 minutes but otherwise, they were perfect. Easy and delicious! Thanks for the recipe – I’m sure I’ll be making these again.

I made these for the first time for a work picnic last weekend. They were such a hit, I never even got to try one to see how they tasted! But apparently, they were pretty amazing, because they were the first dessert gone! Thanks for the recipe!

I love these bars. I like to line the pan with parchment paper to make them easier to remove and cut.
