Easy Pasta Bake

Ricotta Pasta Bake

My family has a weakness for pasta. My mom makes it all the time back in Arizona, and I make it almost weekly here in Texas. It wasn’t too long ago that my mom tried a new pasta dish that she found on My Recipes.  She said they LOVED it, so of course I had to give it a try myself. It was a Three Cheese Pasta Bake recipe, and I knew with 3 different cheeses, it had to be good. Let’s be honest, you can’t go wrong with 3 cheeses!!

This particular recipe has Ricotta, Parmesan and Mozzarella Cheese, which happen to be three of my favorites. It’s also extra creamy because of the sour cream and Alfredo sauce. With all of these yummy, creamy, cheesy ingredients, it was no surprise that this recipe really was terrific! My family loved it, and even the kids asked for seconds. Next time we give it a try, I think we’ll add some grilled chicken. Chicken is always a great addition to white sauce pastas.

How to Make this Easy Pasta Bake Recipe:

This recipe is really so simple. The most time consuming part is cooking the pasta! Then you just toss the other ingredients together and throw everything in the oven to bake. Here are the instructions:

  1. Prepare the ziti pasta according to package directions. Drain, and pour back in your pot.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the alfredo sauce and sour cream. Add ziti and toss until coated. Spoon half of the pasta into a greased 9×13-inch dish.
  3. In a separate bowl, stir together ricotta cheese, eggs, parmesan and most of the parsley. Spread evenly over the pasta in the baking dish. Evenly spoon the remaining pasta on top.
  4. Sprinkle with Mozzarella cheese and a little fresh Parsley and bake for 25-30 minutes at 350°.
  5. Serve warm, and enjoy!

Easy Pasta Bake

You can always add more Mozzarella cheese on top, depending on how much you like. Since there were already 3 cheeses, I figured 1 cup would be enough. 😉 As I mentioned before, I think I’ll add some grilled chicken next time. For those who are obsessed with delicious pasta dishes like we are, then you’ll love this recipe.

  1. Super delicious!! My daughters and I are going to have girls weekend this weekend while my hubby is out of town. He hates ricotta cheese yet my girls and I love so….I think this will be on the menu this weekend. Thanks for the recipe!!

    1. I haven’t tried freezing but I think it would be fine too. I would just make sure you thaw it all the way before baking. Let me know if you try this so I can make a note for others on how it turned out. 🙂

      1. I made a stuffed shell recipe that is very similar but with red pasta sauce and large shells. I make mine ahead but I bake it first and then when ready to eat, thaw and then reheat in the microwave. You can freeze it first before baking but just bake it 5-10min longer than the directions say usually. 🙂

    1. I haven’t tried it in the slow cooker and definitely think it would be best in the oven. If you do try it in the slow cooker and it works out great, let me know and I can make a note of it for other readers. 😉

    1. @Deena,
My favorite jarred alfredo is Classico 4 cheese. I don’t like any jarred alfredo alone, but I use it for recipes.

  2. If you are going to add grilled chicken. would you grill the chicken, then put it in the pan before you put it in the oven?

  3. I made the 3 Cheese Pasta Bake tonight and its yummy. It was very easy to make, and I will surely make it again. The only thing I did different was I cooked and chopped some broccoli and added that.I was going to add cooked chicken also, but just got lazy lol Delish, thanks for the recipe 🙂

  4. I made this dish today. It turned out great. Just 2 of us so I have a lot left. Will try some chicken with it tomorrow with leftovers. Didn’t have any parsley flakes so substituted some dry cilantro flakes. Did good. Thank you.

  5. You savef my life when it came to making something for our christmas party tomorrow. I dont know how to cook much but love to try new things. Everyone else had already signed up into groups to make something but no one said anything to me. I get nervous making for oher people especially co-workers and your website was a god sent. Thank you so much for saving my life.

  6. Made this loved it. I added mushrooms to it as I usually add them to most pasta dishes. Very easy to make. I was going to add some grilled chicken but recovering from a migraine and didn’t have the energy. Might have to with the left overs. 😊
