How to Make Blueberry Sauce
- BLUEBERRIES. Add the blueberries and sugar to a medium saucepan.
- THICKEN. In a small bowl, whisk together the cornstarch and water. Pour the cornstarch mixture into the pot and stir to combine.
- COOK. Heat the sauce over medium heat, stirring frequently, until simmering. Simmer 2-3 minutes, gently mashing some of the blueberries with your spoon, until thickened.
- Serve warm and refrigerate any leftovers.

- Texture. For a smoother texture mash up more of the blueberries, or leave the blueberries intact for a chunkier sauce.
- Berries. Replace some of the blueberries with another complementary berry like raspberries, blackberries, or chopped strawberries.

Storing + Serving
STORE. Keep the homemade blueberry sauce in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
FREEZE it for up to 3 months. Thawed sauce may appear slightly watery due to the release of moisture during freezing. Simply give it a good stir before using.
