Do you eat breakfast in the morning?
They say it’s the most important meal of the day, but it seems like it’s the meal that most people skip. I, on the other, rarely skip breakfast and that’s mainly because I’m starving by the time I wake up. I usually opt for a small bowl of cereal or oatmeal, but I also like to make smoothies.
I like smoothies because they usually take minutes to make, are filling, and are really good for you. I also like that there are so many options and flavors you can make with all the different fruits and veggies. I admit I usually go light on the veggies and load up on the fruits, but I’m willing to venture out and find more veggies to throw in. ๐

Today’s recipe is for a very simple and healthy Green Smoothie. It’s filled with spinach, pineapple, mango, banana and more. If those fruits sound tasty to you then I think you should definitely give this recipe a try.
- 1-2 cups frozen spinach
- 1 cup frozen pineapple chunks
- 1 cups frozen mango chunks
- ½ cup strawberries
- ½ banana
- 1 - 1½ cups milk (we used almond milk and it tasted great!)
- ½-1 TB flaxseed oil
- Mix all ingredients in a blender and serve immediately.
- This smoothie is a great way to start your day. Jam packed with real fruit and flaxseed oil which adds tons of nutrients. Remember to replace with whichever fruits you prefer. Endless possibilities!
Fortunately, you just have to throw everything into the blender and you’re set!
Leave out any ingredients and add whichever ones you like best. I think I’ll forego the mango next time and try raspberries or strawberries. ๐
Super yummy and super good for you!!

I agree that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, but I keep mine simple. 365 days a week I eat oatmeal with peanut butter. This green smoothie looks so good that I believe that it might be a time to change my breakfast habits.

Why did you almond milk in this one? Would reg milk or almond be better?
Lil' Luna
You could definitely use regular milk. We just used almond milk for added flavor and to be a little healthier:)
