prefer to use Fresh Peaches?

To use fresh peaches you need a boiled fresh peach mixture.

  1. Take 2 cups of freshly sliced peaches (about 4-5 peaches, peeled, cored, and sliced), ¾ cup of sugar, and a dash of salt, and bring to a boil over high heat.
  2. Pour over batter into the 9×9 pan. Do not mix!
  3. The rest of the recipe remains exactly the same.

SOOOO good! I put a tsp of vanilla in the batter – yum. While it was hot I topped it with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. FYI, make sure you don’t use a convection oven. It will burn the top even if you reduce the time and/or heat setting from 350 to 325 degrees – still yummy though!

    1. Brandy Ortiz says:

OH! And I diced the canned peaches into thirds…

If using self rising flour do you still add the baking powder

    1. Kristyn Merkley says:

I don’t use self rising flour, so I am not 100%. I would check google.

Why I gave this Peach Cobbler a four star rating is because you didn’t give any measurements for the ingredients. Also, you said to pour the juice. But you didn’t let us what kind of juice we should use. This was my first time cooking a Peach Cobbler so I was unfamiliar with the ingredients to use. I had to pull up other receipts to find what juice to use.

I still used the recipe because it is great for beginners like me to use. It’s so simple. It’s in the oven cooking right now!

    Thanks
    KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!!
