THE EASIEST + YUMMIEST PEACH COBBLER
Today, we wanted to share with you our favorite homemade peach cobbler recipe. We’ve made this recipe for decades and think it’s the easiest, yummiest peach cobbler out there.
WHY WE LOVE PEACH COBBLER

- Easy to Double. Which is great for serving a crowd.
- Perfect all year long. Summer, winter, holidays – it’s always good!
- PREP TIME: 5 MINS
- COOK TIME: 40 MINS

- 1 – 15 ounce can of peaches – the whole can (peaches and juice) – fresh peaches work too!
- 1/2 cup butter – we use unsalted
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup milk – we recommend at least 2% milk
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- pinch of salt
- cinnamon – it’s optional, but it does add more flavor
STEP BY STEP
- PREP. Preheat your oven to 350ยฐF and melt the 1/2 cup butter in a 9×9 baking dish in your oven.

- PEACHES. Spoon the peaches (with the juice) over it. Do NOT mix!!
- BAKE + SERVE. Bake for 40-45 minutes and serve warm.
We love to serve it with a scoop of Vanilla Ice Cream and Whipped Cream!
prefer to use Fresh Peaches?
To use fresh peaches you need a boiled fresh peach mixture.
- Take 2 cups of freshly sliced peaches (about 4-5 peaches, peeled, cored, and sliced), ยพ cup of sugar, and a dash of salt, and bring to a boil over high heat.
- Pour over batter into the 9×9 pan. Do not mix!
- The rest of the recipe remains exactly the same.

Made this today and was So easy to make and delicious. Thank You.
Yay!! I’m so glad it turned out well and you enjoyed it! Thanks for sharing!
How long to bake double recipe?
I’d just keep an eye on it! So when the baking time says it is complete (around 40/45 minutes), just keep checking it every 5 minutes or so until it is cooked through and golden brown.
Can’t wait to try this recipe! Crazy question…do you have any recommendations for using a #10 can (bulk Sam’s Club) 105oz.can of peaches? Thinking of using the 50 servings on your serving calculator, doubling that and using two 13×9 pans. Any thoughts or suggestions would be awesome! Thanks so much
So for one 9X9 pan, we suggest the 15 oz cans. Using the 106 oz can would divide to about 7 of those 15 oz cans… which would yield about 7 cobblers. If you doubled the cobbler in 9X13 pans instead, you can probably get away with about 4 pans. Another way to look at the same thing: you could change the serving size to 42 (which is 105 oz. can peaches) and that will give you measurements for. I’d take that and divide it evenly into 3 or 4 9X13 pans. Hopefully this makes sense and is helpful! Best of luck with the cobblers! ๐
I love this recipe!! I use it all the time and it’s always a big hit!! The only difference is that I sprinkle cinnamon on top after it’s cooked. Perfection!!
I doubled it, and 40 minutes wasn’t long enough for us, so next time I’ll let it bake a little longer.
It was so easy and tasty, I’ll definitely make this again.
Thanks for sharing! Glad to hear that you enjoyed the cobbler!
How would you adjust the recipe for a 9×13 baking dish?
You can double the recipe. It should fill a 9X13.
I just made this and doubled up the fruit but only upped the flour by a 1/2 c, sugar by a 1/4 c, the baking powder by a tsp, and the milk by a splash. And oops, I forgot the pinch of salt. Oh well. Total bake time was around 45-48 minutes I think, but I kind of lost track. I’ll update later on how it tastes. Taking it to Ladies Fellowship tonight. ๐
Yes, feel free to let us know how it turned out for your evening! Hope the ladies enjoyed it!
I love this recipe. I was goofing off and adding my own touch and made a mistake. I always add cinnamon, but last time I added a healthy shake of paprika, crazy I know, but now I can’t make this without it. My husband loves it so thank you for sharing this easy delicious recipe.
Oh that is too funny! What a fun way to find a twist on the recipe that you both love!! Thanks for sharing!
what type of flour did you use?
I just use regular all-purpose flour.
Making this right now for the second time. My husband and I absolutely love it! I have a hard time finding a dessert that we both like because we have very different tastes but this hit the ball out of the park! Thank you for sharing your recipe. ๐
Yay! So glad this recipe has been a winner for you both! Thanks for sharing.
I made it with vegan butter (Miyokoโs) and almond milk to keep it dairy free. It came out great!
Thanks for sharing! I’m glad you were able to adapt it to what worked best for you. Glad to hear it turned out yummy!!
Everyone loved it. Though I love to cook I hardly ever make desserts, just not a part of our family routine. So I loved that it was so easy to put together.
I made it exactly as written except to add fresh raspberries with the canned peaches. It really cut the sweetness. If you cut the butter to a quarter cup would the recipe still work? Thats a lot of butter.
If Iโm doing two 9×9 pans in the oven at once…
Do you think that would be 45 min to an hour?
Nope, it should still be the same since the pans are separate. If you were combining them into one larger pan you would need to increase the baking time. But two 9X9s both in the oven at the same time should yield the same baking time as what the recipe states. Just keep an eye on them and check for doneness! Might need a little more/less time depending on how hot your oven bakes.
Made this today for my Mother’s Day. Turned out really good!! My sweet Mother-in-law used to make this same cobbler back in the early 90’s. I thought I had lost the recipe but you put it on facebook, Thank you!! It is a very good and easy recipe but do add a scope of vanilla ice cream!! Perfect!!
Ooh yes, ice cream is the perfect companion to the cobbler! So glad you found the recipe again.
This recipe is easy and yummy!
I added a pinch of cinnamon to the batter.
Thx for sharing your recipe ๐
Thank you!! The added cinnamon sounds delicious!
Have been making this for years. I use self rising flour. Omit salt and baking powder. I also bake in a 9X13 aluminum disposable cake pan.
Thanks for the feedback. Glad you enjoy the cobbler!
