Now, on to today’s recipe…
It’s happened before…
I thought I was being semi-genius and tried a new recipe I never had seen before only to find out that others have tried it too. Don’t you hate when that happens? Well, I’ve decided it doesn’t matter because everyone makes a recipe in different ways, and although I thought this next creation was a Lil’ Luna original, it still is in my book, lol!!
One of our favorite family cookies is our Ooey Gooey Butter Cookies. They are so delish and easy to make. I decided I wanted to do a chocolate version and to mix things up I decided to add a Rolo to the middle – cuz, who doesn’t love ROLOS, right?! The end result was amazing!! I made them for a family function a few months back and they were a hit. They are now my younger brother’s favorite cookies, so he is always putting in a personal request for them. I call them: Ooey Gooey Chocolate Rolo Cookies…
Here’s the recipe:

Love your blog. Just discovered it from the contest entry. New fan and can’t wait to browse through to discover some awesome finds here.
Love the Rolo recipe and want to make it for a cookie swap this weekend! Just wondering approximately how many cookies one recipe will make???
I made 16 from my batch, but the cookies were quite large.- not a bad thing though I liked how they turned out.
I made 38-40. I used just enough dough to cover the Rolo and they were perfect… making more now!
Just brought these to church and had none left to take back home. These are very good and people love the caramel bite in the middle.
So glad they were a hit! Hopefully the were easy to make too! Thanks for stopping by.
Think it would be alright to freeze half the dough? Otherwise, I will be FORCED to eat the WHOLE batch!
