Cinnamon + Sugar + Chips = Heaven

We eat a TON of chips and salsa at our house so it’s only natural we create a dessert version!

We’ve been making these cinnamon tortilla chips every since we were kids and the tradition continues! They are crunchy with the perfect hint of sweetness (cinnamon and sugar).

In total there are only 4 ingredients!! Even better, they are ready to munch in 15 minutes – great for a quick treat to satisfy that sweet tooth. What better way to end our Mexican dinners than with a Mexican dessert?

We especially love them paired with our Fruit Salsa and fresh Strawberry Salsa. If you haven’t had it before, you’ll realize how incredible it is!

WHY WE LOVE IT:

Ingredients for cinnamon tortilla chips on counter.

Ingredients

  • 10 flour tortillas – I used 10-inch tortillas but you can use a smaller size for smaller chips. Use store-bought or Homemade Tortillas. You can also use corn tortillas, just reduce the baking time.
  • ½ cup butter – salted or unsalted butter
  • ⅓ cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon – or nutmeg or pumpkin pie spice

How to make Cinnamon Tortilla Chips

  1. PREP. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. SEASON. Mix ⅓ cup sugar and 2 teaspoons cinnamon in a small bowl. Set aside.
    • Brush 10 Flour Tortillas with ½ cup melted butter and sprinkle with the cinnamon sugar mixture.
  3. BAKE. Cut each tortilla into wedges. Place on an ungreased sheet pan, or line with parchment paper. Bake for 8-10 minutes or just until crisp. Serve with fresh Fruit Salsa, chocolate sauce, or sweet dipping sauce.

Air Fryer Directions

Prepare the tortillas as instructed in the recipe. Place a batch of tortilla chips in a single layer in the air fryer basket.

Fry at 360°F for 3-4 minutes. Shake the basket a bit and air fry for another 3-4 minutes. (Since they are brushed with butter you do not need to use cooking spray.)
