Recipe Tips, Storing + More Cereal Goodies
Cooking tips:
- Don’t over heat the sugar/corn syrup mixture. Remove the mixture just as it is beginning to boil otherwise overheating will end up creating a dry and crumbly treat.
- To speed up the set time you can stick the treat in the fridge. However, allow them to come back to room temperature before biting into them
- Add mini chocolate chips, mini M&Mโs, or colorful sprinkles.
- Coat them: allow the balls to set then dip them into chocolate, white chocolate or a colorful candy coating.
Storage:
Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days. To Freeze: Arrange the balls on a baking sheet and place in the fridge. Once frozen transfer to a freezer Ziploc. Freeze for up to 3 months. Thaw before eating.

Hello.I want to make your recipe but i dont like peanut butter,is there anything else i can use as a substitution?Tia
TYVM, peanut utter is in my diet, I’m diabetic & sustitute splenda for sugar.
How do you make them into balls. I buttered my hands it was a mess didn’t come out nice round like yours. Couldn’t get it off my hands. Would have made a hilarious video.
You could spray your hands with non-stick cooking spray. You could also hold wax paper and roll the balls within the wax paper. Hopefully that may help if you make them again. ๐
I love peanut butter. these are super yummy. I think they’ll be good with mini milk chocolate chips mixed in too.
My husband loves these rice krispie treats. Over the top with the addition of peanut butter.
