    1. Thank you, Katie! Let me know if you try it out. I think your hubby will definitely love it. Thanks for stopping by. 🙂

    1. It’s back up there… I have no idea what it does that some time but the recipe disappears. Should be there now. 🙂

  1. ‘Tis the season for it. Our favorite asparagus preparation lately has been grilled. Your recipe would also be really good with grilled asparagus and potatoes. For us, I’d do something besides bacon, maybe toasted nuts and a little smoked paprika instead..

  2. Asparagus has been used as a vegetable and medicine, owing to its delicate flavour, diuretic properties, and more. It is pictured as an offering on an Egyptian frieze dating to 3000 BC. Still in ancient times, it was known in Syria and in Spain. Greeks and Romans ate it fresh when in season and dried the vegetable for use in winter; Romans would even freeze it high in the Alps, for the Feast of Epicurus. Emperor Augustus reserved the “Asparagus Fleet” for hauling the vegetable, and coined the expression “faster than cooking asparagus” for quick action.`

  4. Hi Kristyn. I have just discovered your website and can’t wait to try a lot of your recipes. I was wondering why you don’t include how many servings the recipe makes. This would be very helpful for planning a dinner party. Thanks for sharing. Your recipes and pictures make me want to get up and bake, but it’s 4 in the morning. I should be sleeping instead.
