Why do I soak the onions in water?

You can soak them in water, milk, or buttermilk first to reduce pungency, make them easier to coat, and produce crispier rings. Pat dry before coating in flour.

How to store?

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 1-2 days. Reheat in the oven or air fryer set at 350°F until warm and crispy.
