Kid-friendly lunch kabobs are filled with savory meats and fresh veggies. They’re perfect for parties, BBQs, Lunches and more!

I love quick and easy lunches like Ultimate grilled cheese and Crispy chicken tenders. Lunch kabobs are another easy, fun go-to meal. I’m always looking for new Lunch box ideas.

Lunch Kabobs - meats and veggies on skewer

Fun & Easy Lunch

We love dessert kabobs, or anything that is fun to eat. They are so fun and simple—a great way to change things up. I may even go so far as to say my kids are more willing to eat things when they’re on a stick!

We’ve had all sorts of fruits and treats on kabobs over the last few years, but I realized we’ve never made anything a little savory that was kid-friendly. Yes, we’ve made skewers for the hubby and myself with meat and veggies, but the kids weren’t interested in those (even though they’re our favorite!)

I thought I’d try a lunch meat and veggie version, and it was a hit!! I left off the bread for these pictures, but think cute squares of sourdough or Italian bread would be a great addition to these lunch Kabobs.

These kabobs are perfect for any party or shower. In fact, I was just telling the hubby that it would be so fun to have a group date at our house for a “FantaSTICK date night”. The theme would be skewers and everyone would have to bring a different type of skewer to share (fruit, veggie, meat, dessert).

HOW TO MAKE

These are beyond easy to make. Just layer and repeat!

PREP. Get all ingredients out in bowls.

LAYER. Layer ingredients on skewers as desired making sure to add ones that will help keep everything on for the top and bottom (the cherry tomatoes and cheese cubes worked perfect!)

SERVE. Refrigerate until ready to serve.

Variations + Storing

Want to change it up? Here are a few ideas:

  • Pepperoni pizza – Mozzarella, pepperoni, cherry tomatoes
  • Chicken quesadilla – Tortilla pieces, chicken, cheddar cheese
  • BLT – Bacon, tomatoes, cheese cubes, cucumbers
  • Salami Caprese – Salami, mozzarella cheese, cherry tomato

STORE the leftovers on or off of the skewer. Taking the ingredients off the skewers allows you to store like-ingredients together and prevent condensation from forming and ruining your ingredients.

To send lunch kabobs to school, line the ingredients up in the Tupperware to make them look like a kabob (schools may not approve of skewers).

Magical! If I serve these elements separately to my kids, they don’t eat it. But add it to a skewer and they’re gobbled right up. I also love the ides for other flavors.

Thank you, Lisa!! My kids loved them too, but I admit I was the one downing them. They were just too cute not to eat. 😉 Thanks for stopping by, friend!! XO
