Peach Cobbler with Cake Mix Ingredients
- Sliced Peaches (1 can, 29-ounce, in heavy syrup): Creates the sweet, juicy base of the cobbler. The syrup helps form the sauce as it bakes. If using peaches in light syrup, add an extra 1-2 tablespoons of sugar.
- Yellow Cake Mix (1 box, 15.25-ounce): Forms the topping and gives it a soft, slightly crisp texture. Or use spice cake mix.
- Butter (¾ cup, sliced): Melts into the cake mix to create a rich, golden crust. We used unsalted butter, but salted can be used.
- Cinnamon (to taste): Adds warm flavor that pairs perfectly with peaches. Or use nutmeg or allspice.
- Optional nuts: Add chopped walnuts, pecans, or slivered almonds before baking, if desired.
- Optional toppings: Top with Vanilla Ice Cream or Butter Pecan Ice Cream, a drizzle of Chocolate, White Chocolate, or Caramel Sauce.

Kristyn’s Recipe Tips
- Spread Butter Evenly: This helps the topping bake evenly.
- Don’t Stir Layers: Keeping layers separate creates the best texture.
- Use Quality Peaches: Good canned peaches make a big difference. Be sure to use the entire can of peaches with the juice.
- Cake Mix: Use only the dry cake mix; do not make it into a batter.
- Serve Warm: This really is best served with vanilla ice cream and whipped cream. We also like to serve it with Bluebell’s Peaches & Cream ice cream.

Sounds great…I’ll have try this for sure
Is this supposed to be wiggly when you cook it in the oven? I cooked it 45 minutes using canned peaches.
It is just a little. I would just add a min at a time & keep an eye on it.
Hi-
If I wanted to make this into indiviual cobblers (ramekin), how would I break this down?
How much butter per ramekin and is the baking time the same?
Thank you.
I haven’t made this in individual portions, but that sounds so fun! I think it would depend on how many ramekins you are dividing it into. The baking time would be reduced since it would be in a smaller portion. I’d start with 10-15 minutes and then check for keep an eye on them. They’ll be done when the top is a nice, golden brown.
Very good and easy to make
