Sweet and savory Monte Cristo pinwheels are a melt-in-your-mouth twist on a classic turned tasty appetizer!
A Sweet and Savory Favorite!
It’s no secret we are OBSESSED with the Monte Cristo Sandwich so of course we love these Monte Cristo pinwheels!
We started with a flaky melt-in-your-mouth puff pastry crust (a great beginning) and filled it with savory ham, turkey, and cheese with a little mustard for a little spice. Dust it with powdered sugar and dip it in raspberry preserves and you have one delicious sweet and savory bite!
Better yet, they are SO easy (bake in about 15 minutes) and look like a million bucks! This appetizer is party-perfect and great for sharing. We have also been known to whip them up for dinner – now that’s an extra fun night.
Give them a try, you won’t be disappointed!
WHY WE LOVE IT:
- Sweet and savory. We love the combination of flavors and the touch of sweetness!
- 15 minutes to bake. Layer, roll, and bake! This is one fancy, but easy appetizer!
- Just like the original. These taste just like our classic Monte Cristo sandwiches and sliders – same great flavor!
