Who here loves breakfast dishes?!
We are pretty obsessed, and we especially love the recipes that are simple and quick. Today’s recipe happens to be one of those. I had gotten the recipe from a friend and later found one via Pinterest from The Kitchen is my Playground that only required 3 ingredients. Say what?! Yeah, I knew I had to give it a try. My friend had made hers a little different and another friend who makes this told me she rolls it up. I haven’t tried the rolled up version yet, but this basic, simple version is so easy we’ve already made it a few times (the husband especially LOVED it). My friend who made the rolled up version also used a sausage that has maple in it which gave it a sweet taste that I really liked, so I’m excited to try that next. You can also use hot sausage, turkey sausage… practically any sausage that you prefer to use. I ended up using the Jimmy Dean Pork Sausage crumbles since I always have them on hand for breakfast dishes. That particular sausage is also already cooked which makes the recipe even more simple and quick.
If you’re looking to try a very delicious, easy and new recipe, I highly recommend making this Crescent Roll Sausage Bake. It’s great, and I love that it can be changed so easily with different meats and cheeses!!
Here’s the recipe:
Crescent Roll Sausage Bake Recipe
Ingredients
- 2 packages Jimmy Dean Pork Sausage Crumbles
- 8 oz cream cheese
- 2 packages crescent rolls
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375.
- Place sausage crumbles and cream cheese in a medium pot and cook on low heat until combined and warm.
- Unroll crescent roll dough onto a greased pan and pinch seams together.
- Pour sausage and cream cheese mixture over dough and spread around.
- Unroll second crescent roll dough and place over the top of the sausage. Pinch seams together and pinch two crescent roll doughs together all around the edges.
- Bake for 14-16 minutes. Serve warm. ENJOY!
Recipe adapted from The Kitchen is my Playground
Pinch those seams together as much as you can.
Layer the cooked sausage and cream cheese on top.
Top with another roll of crescent dough and pinch the outer edge together.
I’m telling you – this is too easy and delicious not to love!!

This was really really….really good! I ate almost the entire thing on my own. I can not wait for you to make it again 😀
Haha – is this your first comment EVER?! Love you!
How many servings does this recipe make? It’s my turn to make breakfast at work this Friday, and I’ll have to feed 10 people. Should I double it?
That should feed 10, unless you have some super hungry co-workers:) If you made two, you could put any extra in the fridge and eat later! Enjoy!! Hope they like it…we do!
Thanks! Everyone loved it. I ended up making 2 and both of them were devoured!
Haha…yes, they are that good!! I’m so glad everyone loved it!! Thanks for letting me know:)
Nice recipes. Thank you and have a great weekend!
Thank you Liz! Hope your weekend was nice, too!!:)

next time I would season the sasuage more-I used 1/4 apple sasuage-1/4 Ital-1/2 breakfast-this recipe is really really good and EASY!
Thank you for sharing and giving this a try! Glad you liked it 🙂
Okay, my boyfriend and I made this and it was AMAZING!!!! We couldn’t stop eating it lol but the bottom was kind of gooey last time, like it wasn’t cooked all the way while the top was perfectly golden brown.
I’m making it again, any advice on how to cook the bottom more?
LOL! Glad you both liked it! I don’t..I just cook a little longer. Enjoy!!
I wonder if you bake the bottom layer for a few minutes before putting the mixture and top layer on? I might try that. Can’t wait to try this recipe for our friends on vacation!
This is a great recipe for Teacher Appreciation Day!
It would be great! We love this recipe!
It was the best food in the world!!!
Wow, thank you so much for saying that!!
can i make it day bef
I am sure it would be ok. I have not personally done so, but it should be good.
Can you make a day ahead and bake it the next day?
I haven’t tried, but I don’t see why not 🙂
Just made these for a get together…yummy and a hit❣️
Woohoo!! That is what I love to hear! Thank you so much!
How much sausage would I need to cook if I do no have the sausage crumbles? 1lb ? 2lb?
Really, it is up to you. You can’t go wrong. If you like sausage, then I would add 2lbs, but if you want less, then, just do 1lb.
I had every ingredient needed and whipped it up quickly. Needless to say iy was a hit and very taStey.
Yay!! Love when that happens! Thank you for letting me know!
Very delicious and extreme easy to make. I made it with 1 sausage roll since I didn’t have the crumbles on hand. I looked it up and a bag is 10 oz. but feel the 16 oz. was sufficient in the roll.
Perfect!! I am happy you tried it! Thank you!
I am going to make this tonight for my super picky kids. They love cressant rolls and sausage, so this should be a huge hit! I make a variation of this usually with ground beef, taco seasoning and mexican shredded cheese. Thanks for this easy recipe idea! Sorry for the All caps.
I sure hope they like it! Some of mine are picky, but they love this! Thanks so much!
