This cheesy hamburger dip is always a hit at parties, plus it’s made with just 4 ingredients.
So Simple and Delicious
This hamburger dip makes a FREQUENT appearance at our family functions. It’s amazing!!!
We most often serve it with Tortilla Chips or Fritos, but if we’re eating it alongside Mexican food people usually put this cheesy dip on their Tacos!
It’s a delicious and simple appetizer to enjoy at holiday functions. We also love to have it on hand for company or family nights. It’s one of the EASIEST dips. You need only 4 ingredients and it’s ready in under 20 minutes!
WHY WE LOVE IT:
- Only 4 ingredients. It’s that simple! And it is still packed with flavor.
- A quick dip. This appetizer dip is ready to enjoy in under 20 minutes – faster if you use leftover hamburgers.
- Warm and creamy. Who doesn’t love a warm and cheesy dip?! It’s completely addictive and perfect with a side of chips.
Ingredients
PREP TIME: 10 minutes
COOK TIME: 8 minutes
- 1 pound ground beef seasoned with salt, pepper, and garlic – or ground chicken, ground turkey, or ground sausage. Leftover hamburgers can be used to make the dip. Reduce the amount of ground beef used according to how many hamburgers you have.
- 1 (16-ounce) jar medium chunky pace salsa
- 1-2 (10-ounce) cans Rotel tomatoes with green chiles (do not drain) – Instead of a can of Rotel tomatoes use a can of diced tomatoes and a can of diced green chilies for an easy swap.
- 1 (16-ounce) block Velveeta cheese – Substitute the Velveeta with 8 ounces cream cheese and 8 ounces shredded cheddar cheese.
- added spice – cayenne pepper, sliced jalapenos, chili powder, or red chili flakes
- serving suggestions – Tortilla Chips, crackers, and vegetables such as celery, bell peppers, and carrots
How to Make Hamburger Dip

- COMBINE + COOK. Pour salsa into a blender and mix until smooth (this is an optional step, skip if you like the chunks)
- Put salsa, Rotel, and Velveeta cheese in the skillet and stir until incorporated, melted, and heated through. Serve immediately or place in a warm crock pot for any function.
