Grilling
We recently bought a grill and have been grilling like crazy! I think it makes my hubby feel more like a man or something but he is always MORE than happy to grill for us, and he’s quickly learning all the tips and tricks to grilling some yummy goodness like asparagus and chicken souvlaki.
We recently made some Teriyaki Chicken Burgers. They turned out FABULOUS!! I’m already craving them again, and because this next recipe is quick and easy, I have a feeling we’ll be eating these more often!
These burgers were so stinkin’ tastey!! I absolutely loved them. They tasted like them came from a restaurant and only took ten minutes to make. What’s not to love about that?
HOW TO MAKE
MARINATE. Begin by marinating your chicken in the teriyaki sauce for 24 hours.
GRILL. Grill chicken until cooked through. Add cheese on top at the end if you want it melted. Grill pineapple slices as well.
ENJOY! Put burger together with condiments and enjoy!
Tips, Variations + Storing Info
Teriyaki sauce: We really love Sweet Baby Ray’s Teriyaki Sauce. If you wish to make a homemade sauce try out this recipe we have a great recipe that we use for our teriyaki wings.
Variations:
- Pepper jack cheese
- Provolone cheese
- Bacon
- Toast the buns
- Sliced Onions
- Grill Fresh pineapple
If you need to you can cook your chicken inside on the stove or in the oven. To cook it on the stove, heat up a pan or skillet on medium-high heat. Cook your chicken for 5-7 minutes and then flip it and cook it for another 5-7 minutes or until it is cooked all the way through. If you want to bake the chicken in the oven then preheat the oven to 400 degrees and bake it for about 10 minutes or until it is cooked all the way through.
A full chicken breast will be too large for a sandwich so I suggest halving the chicken breasts. You can also use a tenderizer to pound the chicken a little. Heat the grill to medium and place the breasts on. Grill each side for 5-7 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 165°F.
STORE cooked chicken in a airtight container in the fridge for 3-5 days. Keep fruits and veggies in separate containers.
