Crispy, creamy crockpot green bean casserole is beyond easy and just as tasty as the original oven-baked classic!
A classic in the crock pot!
There are a few sides we HAVE to have at most holidays – Dinner Rolls, Funeral Potatoes, Mashed Potatoes and Green Bean Casserole.
These are all classic dishes we never get sick of, but because we do get overwhelmed with holiday cooking, we love to be able to make some in different ways – in the oven, on the stove and especially in the crock pot.
That’s why we were so excited about today’s recipe. It’s our favorite green bean casserole recipe in the slow cooker. This classic Thanksgiving Side Dish can now free up some space in the oven for all the other favorites. Plus, it takes just minutes to throw together.
WHY WE LOVE IT:
- Easy! This easy side dish is as simple as dumping in the ingredients, and letting it do its thing.
- Frees up oven space. It allows more room in the oven for baking other items – perfect for holidays!
- Tasty. It’s just as good as a baked casserole!

Oh thank you so much! I’m glad the casserole was a hit. Either a 5 or 6 quart crock pot would work great for this recipe!

Some crockpot recipes call for frozen green bean some canned. I feel like this would make a big difference. Any advice on this?
I use frozen, but honestly, both work. Can’t tell ๐

This is a family tradition for us but I need oven space! So happy to have a crock pot recipe of it.
