Hard not to Love!

It’s no wonder our whole family is obsessed with these cheesy bacon crackers. They have cheese – bacon – and brown sugar!!

Not only do they taste delicious, but we love that there are only 4 ingredients and come together really quick making them one of our new go-to appetizers. Plus, the steps are simple (the kids love to take charge). Just layer and bake, and you’ll be in bacon heaven in no time!

Serve these as an afterschool snack, a late-night munchy (perfect for movie night) or for your next party. These also go great on a Charcuterie Board or served with other finger food appetizers like our Beanie Weenies and Deviled Eggs.

WHY WE LOVE IT:

  • For EVERY occasion. These are perfect for game days and holidays. But let’s be real, any day is a great day for bacon!
  • It doesn’t get any easier. You only need 4 ingredients and 10 minutes to prep. Now that’s a simple appetizer!
  • Bacon and cheese! Do we need to say more?

Ingredients

  • 1 pound thin-sliced bacon, cut into quarters – Do not use thick-cut bacon because it will take too long to cook.
  • 36 buttery club crackers – or Ritz crackers
  • 9 slices Colby Jack cheese, cut into 6 parts – or pepper jack or Mozzarella Cheese
  • ½ cup light brown sugar – or dark brown sugar
  • variations – sprinkle with red pepper flakes or add a slice of jalapeño

How to Make Bacon Crackers

  1. PREP. Preheat the oven to 300°F. Line a rimmed baking sheet with aluminum foil, add a wire rack on top of the foil, and spray with cooking spray.
  2. ASSEMBLE. Prepare 36 crackers by adding 1 slice of cheese to each cracker, followed by a quarter piece of bacon. Place assembled crackers on the cooling rack.
  3. BAKE. Once done, sprinkle the top of the bacon with ½ cup brown sugar and bake for 40-45 minutes until the bacon looks cooked, rotating the pan halfway through.
    • Serve warm or at room temperature.

Pro Tip: Use a rack!

The crackers will burn by the time the bacon is cooked if you place them directly on the baking sheet so be sure to use a rack.
