Pizza Waffles are the kind of fun, kid approved meal that disappears fast and gets requested time and time again. They are cheesy, crispy on the outside, gooey in the middle, and made with biscuit dough stuffed with mozzarella and mini pepperoni, then cooked in a waffle maker for the easiest pizza twist.

Best part is they’re quick too! No oven, no rolling dough, and no waiting for delivery, just stuff, press, and cook. Dip them in warm pizza sauce, marinara or ranch, and you have the perfect snack, lunch, or easy dinner.

If you love fun kid-friendly meals like this, you should also try Pizza Rolls, Pizza Casserole, and Pizza Grilled Cheese.

Why you’ll love it + Why it works:

  • Pizza in your hand. It tastes like pizza in a crispy, handheld waffle form.
  • For a quick lunch or dinner. It is perfect for kids, lunch, snacks, and easy dinners.
  • Crispy and flaky. Flaky layers seal the filling. Splitting and pinching the biscuits keeps the cheese and pepperoni tucked inside.
  • Ready in no time. Waffle maker = fast crisping. High heat browns the outside quickly while melting the cheese inside.

Pizza Waffles Ingredients

  • Refrigerated biscuits (1 can, 16.3 ounces): Biscuit dough is the quick crust that turns golden and crisp in the waffle maker. The flaky layers make it easy to split and stuff.
  • Mozzarella cheese, cut in quarters (12 slices): Melts into that gooey pizza center. Cutting into quarters helps it fit and melt evenly.
  • Mini pepperoni slices (ยฝ cup): Adds classic pizza flavor and fits perfectly inside the stuffed biscuit.
  • Italian seasoning: Adds that familiar pizza-shop flavor. It boosts the cheese and pepperoni without extra effort.
  • Pizza sauce (1 jar, 14 ounces): Pizza sauce is the perfect dip for serving. Warming it makes the waffles feel extra pizza-like. Homemade ranch or Marinara also work well too.

How to Make Pizza Waffles

PREP. Spray waffle maker with cooking spray; heat waffle maker to medium-high temperature.

BISCUITS. Separate dough into 8 biscuits. For each biscuit, carefully peel the biscuit in half (should separate easily once you start). Add 6 cheese slice quarters (1 ยฝ slices total) to one side of the biscuit, along with 8-10 mini pepperoni slices. Sprinkle with Italian seasoning. Add the other half of the biscuit on top and pinch the edges together.

BAKE. Place 1 biscuit onto the center of the waffle maker. Lose lid and cook for 2 minutes or until browned and cheese is melted. Continue the process with the remaining biscuits.

SERVE. Warm up pizza sauce, and serve pizza waffles with the sauce or with warm marinara.

Kristyn’s Recipe Tips

  • Avoid Leaking: Pinch the edges really well so the cheese does not leak out in the waffle maker.
  • Do not overfill: too much cheese can ooze out as it melts.
  • Perfect Cook: Cook until deep golden brown, it helps the biscuit cook through and get crisp.
  • Not Too Dark: If your waffle maker runs hot, lower the heat slightly so the inside melts before the outside gets too dark.
  • Make Ahead Tip: Cook the waffles and reheat in the toaster oven or air fryer to crisp them back up.
