Fruit Dip Ingredients

- Cream cheese, softened (1, 8-ounce package): Adds body, tang, and that creamy cheesecake vibe. For a smooth, creamy texture, be sure that the cream cheese is at room temperature
- Vanilla extract (1 teaspoon): Rounds out the sweetness with warm bakery aroma.
- Whipped topping or homemade whipped cream (1, 8-ounce tub or 3 cups): Lightens the dip into a soft, scoopable cloud. Or use homemade Whipped Cream (about 3 cups).

How to Make Fruit Dip

COMBINE. In a large bowl, use a hand-held electric mixer or a stand mixer to beat 1ยฝ cups powdered sugar, 1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, and 1 teaspoon vanilla on low speed, until well mixed.

Kristyn’s Recipe Tips
- Beat the cream cheese until silky before adding anything else for the smoothest dip.
- Fold in whipped topping gently so the dip stays airy.
- Chill at least 30 minutes, the flavor blooms and the texture firms slightly.
- Make it your own, add a pinch of salt, citrus zest, or mini chocolate chips.
- Some fruits, like apple slices, tend to brown while sitting out. See our post on how to keep fruit from browning for tips.
- We love putting this dip on charcuterie boards.
- Not only does this taste great with fresh fruit, but it can be served with cookies and other sweet treats like vanilla wafers, cookies, pretzels, Cinnamon Tortilla Chips, graham crackers, Brownie Bites, or Oreos.
