Game Day Veggie Trays

Easy Game Day Veggie Trays - perfect for any occasion or party!

After the start of a new year, I always try to focus a little more on what our family eats. When game day comes along, we always have so much fun creating a menu, but one of the things we always like to serve is veggies!

One of my favorite ways to serve vegetables is on a big tray. You can add just about anything you want and it only takes a few minutes to put together. Once you’ve prepped all of the veggies, you can arrange them in any kind of fun design you want. Sometimes we stick with something really simple and sometimes we put a little more time & energy into our spread. Our favorite dip to use is Marzetti® Veggie Dip. Have you tried it? My kids think it makes ALL veggies 100x better! The dips are thick, rich, and have been our “go-to” veggie dip for years. My favorite one is the Marzetti® Dill Veggie Dip, with their Marzetti® Light Ranch Veggie Dip close behind. I have yet to try their Marzetti® Spicy Avocado Ranch Dip but it sounds like a winner too!

I love that veggie platters served with Marzetti® Veggie Dips are great for any occasion!! We always make sure we have a vegetable and fruit tray at every get together, our family loves them!

Here’s what you’ll need to make this Football Veggie Tray:

  • Celery
  • Broccoli
  • Carrots
  • Cherry tomatoes
  • Yellow Bell Pepper

  1. Rinse all veggies. Chop up the broccoli and the celery. Cut four strips of yellow bell pepper (you can always slice the rest and put around the long edges of the platter).
  2. Line the short edges with celery. Add the carrots in a football shape in the center of the platter. Fill the remaining space with broccoli.
  3. Add the bell peppers to look like the stitching on a football.
  4. Line the edge of the football with cherry tomatoes and serve with your favorite Marzetti® Veggie Dip. ENJOY!

  1. Totally with you on the dip thing. Everyone in my house will eat tons more fresh veggies if we have yummy dip to go with it. I want to try that Spicy Avocado Ranch – sounds fantastic!

  2. My household loves to eat our raw veggies with a good ranch dip! We also love our veggies steamed and maybe add either a lil’ butter, pepper vinegar or for an even bigger indulgence browned butter and breadcrumbs!

  3. I enjoy fresh veges on my vege platter that I make for me and the kids all the time. I have tomatoes, cucumbers, carrot sticks, sliced peppers, and I have a healthy dip to dip our veges in.

  4. How cute and creative are these veggie trays! I love the peppers filled with dip. That’s happening at my next get together. Pinning so I don’t forget!
