GRILLING TIPS

We’ve learned some grilling tips over the years that will ensure that your barbecued meal turns out just right every time!

  • Preheat the grill so itโ€™s hot and ready to immediately begin cooking the food once it is placed on it. Preheating is also helpful because it loosens any stuck on bits of food. Give the grates a quick brush before rubbing on an even layer of cooking oil.
  • Sear Meat over an open flame. Once seared to your liking, move the meat to indirect heat where it can finish cooking.
  • Close the Lid for thicker cuts of meat. This allows the grill to act like an oven in order for the center to cook properly.
  • Let it Be! It can be tempting to poke, prod and flip the meat, but donโ€™t. You should only flip it once. By doing so you allow each side to heat up enough to start forming a nice caramelized crust.
  • Wait to Add Sauce. If you add the sauce too early, it just tends to char. Allow your meat to cook almost completely before coating it with the sauce.

Mostly importantly, you want to have the right tools! We’ve rounded up the BEST products for grilling and hosting a flawless barbecue that will leave you wishing it was summer all year long.
