WEEKLY MEAL PLAN #82

Each week, I share with you a FREE meal plan that consists of 5 dinner ideas (Monday-Thursday plus one Weekend meal), 2 side dishes, and 1 dessert!

Included is a grocery list with EVERY ingredient you need for all the items on the meal plan.

This is meant to help simplify menu planning, shopping, and cooking so you can more easily enjoy meals with your family throughout the week!

TIP OF THE WEEK

Brioche Bread is one of our FAVORITE breads to use for French Toast. It is thick with the perfect texture after it is cooked.

PRO-TIP: If you have fresh Brioche, leave it out overnight in order to dry it out a bit. This will help prevent it from being soggy.

Try using Brioche with our French Toast Bake too!

BENEFITS OF MEAL PLANNING

There’s nothing worse than the dread every time a family members asks, “What’s for dinner??” And your answer is “I have no clue.” Having a meal plan for the week eliminates that completely, which is the number one benefit in my book!

Besides having a game plan in place, there are several other benefits of meal planning, including:

  • Cost: When you have a plan set in place, and a specific list of groceries, you eliminate cost wasted on impulse items or produce that never gets used.
  • Decrease Waste: No wasted money, and no wasted food! Having a set grocery list will help to avoid both of those issues.
  • Variety: Our meal plans specifically include a lot of variety, with MexicanItalianBreakfast for Dinner, and so much more! You can expose your family’s palates to all kinds of meals.
  • No Indecision: Did you know there’s such thing as “indecision fatigue”? The idea is that when you can’t make a decision on something (like what to make for dinner) it actually makes you mentally fatigued. When dinners are already planned out, though, you avoid indecision completely!
  • Health: When you plan for/anticipate making well-rounded meals, you’re much more likely to actually make them rather than defaulting to convenient boxed meals, or unhealthy fast food!

As you can see, there are so many benefits to meal planning!

Monday

Salsa Chicken

Salsa chicken is your ticket to a 30-minute meal that the whole family will love! And it’s all baked in one pan for easy clean up!

What Mexican meal is complete without some beans and rice? They’re our favorite sides when eating Mexican food, and we always love some chips and homemade salsa to munch on before dinner.

Tuesday

Italian Sausage Soup

Hearty and delicious Italian Sausage Soup filled with tomatoes, carrots, zucchini, spinach and more. The recipe made on the stove is simple and great to enjoy all year long!

Homemade Whole Wheat Bread, one of our sides this week, pairs perfectly with this yummy soup. We love spreading some butter or homemade Honey Butter or Cinnamon Butter on this soft and moist bread. It’s a warm and yummy winter meal!

wednesday

Brioche French Toast

Thick and fluffy brioche french toast topped with maple syrup, powdered sugar, and berries! The best breakfast for all occasions.

There are so many delicious options for toppings for this French toast! Some of the toppings we especially love are Buttermilk Syrup, Strawberry Sauce, Homemade Whipped Cream and fresh fruit.

And, if we want to add a little protein, we will cook some bacon or sausage to go with this fun meal.

Thursday

Flatout Wraps

If you’re in need of a light and easy meal, try the BLT wrap or Turkey Bacon Ranch wrap! With Flatout Light Original Flatbreads, these wraps are under 400 calories and Weight Watchers approved!

These wraps are a great all-in-one meal, but if you’re wanting a side to go with them, try our Baked Kale Chips or Baked Zucchini Chips. You’ll forget you’re eating healthy!

Weekend

  1. This is such a great idea! I love how simple it is. I do wish it had meals for 5-6 days instead of just 4, since we cook most of our meals. Thank you!
