Can you believe that FALL is practically here?
This time of year is my absolute favorite, and it always goes back WAY too quick.
Fortunately, with each passing year, time seems to just go quicker and quicker and before I know it it’s fall again, and I love it.
As part of the Printable Club, I’m sharing with you a quick and easy gift idea that I designed a printable for. It’s a Fall Cookies in a Jar Gift. I called them “It’s Fall Y’all Cookies” just for a little Texas fun. 😉 I know these Cookie Mix Jar Gifts have been around forever but thought it would be cute to do a Fall Version. The Reeses Pieces colors are perfect for this. In case you’d rather not have Peanut Butter in the cookies, you can also use the Plain M&Ms that come in fall colors.
It just takes minutes to put together and can be the perfect gift for a friend or neighbor. It could even made as a Birthday Gift! Best part of all, is that it doesn’t cost a lot to make either and can be made for under $5. SWEET!
Here is what you’ll need:
SUPPLIES:
– Quart Jar
– Cookie Ingredients (found below)
– Printable (found below)
– Scissors
– Twine/Ribbon
– Washi Tape
DIRECTIONS:
1. Clean your jars and let dry completely.
2. Fill your jars. Start with 1 1/2 cups flour, 1/2 tsp. baking soda, 1/s tsp. baking powder, 1/2 tsp. salt.
Then add 1/2 cup brown sugar followed by 1/2 cup sugar.
Then add 2/3 cup milk chocolate chips.
Top off with 2/3 cup Reeses Pieces.
Tape onto your jar and then tie some twine around.
4. You can embellish the top by putting some washi tape on it. Just makes it look even cuter. 😉
Easy peasy, right?
What I love most if having a gift that I can make in mass quantities like this one. It’s easy, inexpensive and still super cute and thoughtful. 🙂

I cannot find the printable for the Fall y’all cookies in a jar. can you direct me to it somehow?
Yes, so if you scroll down on the post you’ll see the photo of the instructions. Go ahead and right click on the image, select save image and then it’ll save to your computer and you can open the file and print from there!
How many cookies does the It’s Fall Y’all recipe make?
It should make about 12-14 cookies… depending on how large you make the cookies.
How big should the cookies be? 1 Tablespoon? 2 Tablespoons? I made them 2 Tablespoons and cooked them for 14 minutes. They were golden on the bottom but not firm throughout.
I think mine are about a tablespoon 🙂
