Winter soups and chowders are typically heartier than other soups and we look forward to the chilly soup season all year.

Arizona doesn’t get as cold as other parts of the world, but we have some cold days, and serving soup on such a day feeds our souls as much as our stomachs. 

Soup is an easy-to-eat source of vitamins, minerals, calories, and protein. Many can be made ahead of time or in a crock pot.

Choosing any one of these soups that are loaded with vegetables and broth will do the trick! Make a big batch to freeze and keep on hand for you or a friend.

    I love this list. So far we have loved the tomato basil soup from your site as well as the taco soup on this list. The crock pot beef stew was not a hit with the kids, but my husband and I liked it.
